Weekly Update (December 13th)

It's that time again! Let's get straight into this weeks update.

This Week

I have been having a fun time learning more about porting models from Daz and helping a friend fix their own model which has helped a huge amount in understanding how the drivers and correctives work.

After some decent work on her I have had to abandon my current version of Tifa, due to issues that have built up. All is not lost though, I learned a lot on how it works and have took a small break to make a version of Ada from RE4 Remake.

Her base sweater dress outfit.

And a custom latex leotard outfit:

I had to replace her eye texture because the one provided was not correct at all (it wasn't even the game version). I'm not sure about the replacement yet so I might swap it for a darker brown texture.

I will go back to Tifa, probably over Christmas, I just wanted to try out everything I learned on a model with less outfits I have to port over.

I'll do a little render with Ada tomorrow. Maybe something NSFW, not too sure yet, to test things out properly. Might make it a timelapse too.

I'll do Blend uploads toward the end of this week too, it's been super busy with Christmas coming up and I got a little too 'focused' on Ada and forgot to do things... 😬

Next Week

Next week is the start of my week off (hopefully) so I will be busy with Christmas related stuff, but also starting to relax and catch up on personal projects. I'm not too sure what yet, I haven't planned that far ahead, but I'll update then.

One thing I definitely want to do is redo the Tifa model, like I mentioned, so I will try to start that at least.

Small Rant Warning: Diffeomorph (the Daz to Blender add-on), while I love and appreciate what it does, has been more of a hinderance lately with having to manually fix corrective drivers and setup a lot of stuff it used to do automatically. I even noticed models by Mustard had broken corrective drivers, so it is (thankfully?) not just my broken set up.

Anyway, as always I really appreciate your support and reading my inane ramblings. If you have any interest in the whole driver thing let me know and I might brave getting my mic out to make a video or something... Just note I'm not by any means a professional and a lot of stuff is somewhat educated guessing/messing around until things work or look right.
