Weekly Update (December 6th)

It's that time again! With that said, let's get right into it.

This Week

I think it's time to start getting a bit more festive, so I'm working on a little Christmassy glam test with Tifa for tomorrow. 

I hate 'moaning' about quality of things when I'm using other peoples creations, but the quality of Daz Christmas outfits I've come across is really rough. Nothing really sparks joy. I've got something but I'm still looking in case I see something better. I could make my own, but my skill level for that is not high enough so we'd be here until next Christmas. Maybe something will work with a re-texture.

In the meantime I've prepared some previews of my version of the Tifa model.

First up, her default outfit:

Next, Mature (otherwise known as the purple dress):

And the current version of the Christmas outfit (might change or I might add an additional one):

Please excuse any clipping etc. I still need to fine tune weights, correctives etc.

Been fun learning more about porting models in a way that they can be used longer term, I'm used to doing quick conversions. I may release her here if I can get everything to a standard I'm happy with during this month. If not, you'll be able to grab her from a Blend file when I upload December's Blends next month.

Also I'll be uploading Blends later this week.

Coming Soon

Again, I haven't really thought about what is coming up. Been busy working out stuff with the Tifa model and finishing up work projects before my Christmas break. My break from work will likely be 15th December through until Jan 4th, but since that is a Thursday I might be able to convince them to give me until Jan 8th. 😁

I want to work on the personal project I mentioned an update or two ago, and also brush up on some Blender training stuff. I also want to force myself to relax since I'm terrible at that.

I made a small Make-up shader for Tifa too so I want to see if I can share that too, maybe make a small tutorial that explains it. It's not too complicated but only if you are familiar with nodes.
