Weekly Update (November 22nd)

This Week
After the issues I had with Blender over the weekend I decided not to do a poll on Sunday. I wanted to make sure that my issues had been fixed rather than make a poll and end up not delivering.
So far things do seem to be fixed, which is great, and while it was a pain to find the issue I'm glad it was just a driver update that was needed.
I've gone for something featuring Lara (Croft) this week, since there was no poll. I haven't used her model since the Blender 4 update so I spent a little time tweaking her to work with some of the new changes.
It's been a little bit of a busy week so I might post a small preview tomorrow instead of the usual render so I can spend more time on things and maybe make a small set of renders, keeping them to post on Sunday.
Next Week
Again, I haven't really thought about next week. Things are getting pretty busy with both the run up to Christmas and also some health stuff for my parents which has ended up being scheduled for the end of this month.
I'd love to get back to practicing more animation stuff, I had a blast making the Tifa animation on the train. Just while I love practicing and need to practice, I don't really like how EEVEE looks. I think I suck at using it, how lights work don't make sense to me being used to Cycles lighting.
I'm hoping EEVEE Next will be closer to Cycles with it's ray tracing features, while still being viable for render times that won't be in the 'days' like Cycles would be at 1080p.
Anyway. As mentioned, preview tomorrow. Full renders on Sunday.
Also thank you to everyone still posting on my Discord. I know I've left it a bit abandoned. I do keep an eye on it to make sure nothing bad is happening. I honestly do not have the words to explain why I don't use it much. I mostly use Discord only for talking with my few online friends who can tolerate my terrible and random social battery. :/
