Something a little different & slight wall of text, skip to the bottom for the TLDR.
I've been wanting to make an original Elf styled character for a while but my knowledge of how to do that (even with Daz sliders) is not great.
So I decided to do a mix of a premade character I liked and tweak it. It was also a great excuse to learn how to import characters using the newer Diffeomorphic 1.6.1 plugin and try out the method for importing outfits Mustard has outlined for their newer models.
Also this model has HD details that can be turned on or off. So for close-ups they can be turned on to get some nice skin detail. I may experiment with baking them to displacement maps like Wildeer's Lara Croft model uses, but currently it is real geometric detail using a multiresolution modifier.
There are some clipping issues here and the lighting could be better but the end goal here wasn't really to make a render. Instead it was to get some experience in making OCs and getting them into Blender to work with (although I'd like to try rendering in Daz again soon).
Normal render (NSFW with Game character) on Sunday as usual. This is just something I've wanted to experiment with and I had the time available to do it.
