Winter Holidays won't change the posting schedule and a continuity thing that's going to be a bastard to fix
Added 2025-12-17 19:57:43 +0000 UTCTL:DR- What the title says. Also this cold is persistant as hell and screwing with my sleep. But mostly the title. And it's no longer the five directions palace but the eight directions palace.
Slightly longer version- I had my vacation, I have a stockpile of chapters, and even though this damned cold is screwing with my writing speed/schedule, I'm holding it down. So there won't be any change in the posting schedule through the holilday season.
On the continuity side, yep, I did say the saintess was part of a sect with a different name way back in the six turns cavern. It's the eight directions palace now, and that's going to be annoying as hell to go back and fix. Honestly, it's probably not going to get straightened out until the books go to publication.

It’s an I Ching thing. The 8 fundamental directions expressed through the bagua 八卦 or 8 trigrams. edit: to go into detail cos I don’t explain what the directions are: Each direction corresponds to a trigram, an element, and a quality of energy: • ☰ Qian – Heaven – Northwest • ☷ Kun – Earth – Southwest • ☳ Zhen – Thunder – East • ☴ Xun – Wind/Wood – Southeast • ☵ Kan – Water – North • ☲ Li – Fire – South • ☶ Gen – Mountain – Northeast • ☱ Dui – Lake – West These eight are the primary directional forces in I Ching cosmology. There are different versions than this though. It’s all a bit complicated Tl;dr the 8 directions are the cardinal (north, south, east, west) and then the in-between directions too

2025-12-17 21:37:19 +0000 UTCout of curiousity, what ARE the 8 directions? we have the 4 cardinal directions - N S E W or forward backward left right, up down.. then what are the other two? future and past? diagonal? Inquiring minds want to know..... and is shen is that the same as "Brainpower" or is it higher than that? Several cultivation books i have had several different "QI" bases depending on what "level" you were... X for initial base, which then becomes y when you move to the next higher level, then it becomes Z then becomes divine or then immortal, or then ancient etc.... this story apparently has AT LEAST 3.

2025-12-17 21:16:35 +0000 UTCIf multiple docs, you can type the phrase "5 directions" in the Windows search function, searching only within the folder. It will pull up all the individual chapters that contain the phrase, then you can find and replace in each one individually. Reposting the revised chapters on RR and such is probably unnecessary.

2025-12-17 21:03:51 +0000 UTCDon't you have the entire story as "one" document? Or are you doing each chapter as an individual document. If one document then a simple find and replace should work. If individual then pull up the folder with the story and search for "five element" each chp with those words in that exact config should list. Then open and find replace.
