Oshino himself said no one would be happy with the kizu choice but Araragi would rather Shinobu live instead of die for him even if (in his mind) it is only a burden. He could also be thinking if he tries to be happy it would mean escaping the punishment for saving Kiss-shot, we saw in Tsukimonogatari that he forces said punishments on himself pretty easily given how lowly he views himself. Also i have no clue if you read patreon comments so i'll prob comment this on the youtube vid when it drops.
