Tied with scissors chapter 6

Chapter 6 – Style Emergency

Part 1 – The Hair Dilemma

Fabrício stared at the bathroom mirror, visibly frustrated. Scattered across the sink were hair ties, clips, and combs. His new haircut was just way too cute for college, and every attempt at a hairstyle only seemed to make things worse.

He tried a ponytail. Then a loose bun. A braid. But nothing felt right.

“Tsk…”
He let it all fall again.
“How does every single hairstyle make me look even more like... a girl?”
He tossed the brush aside, took a deep breath, and ran his fingers through his hair, shaking it out.
“Screw it. I’ll just wear it down. It’s still cute… but at least it’s less cute than the other styles.”

As he glanced at the counter, he noticed he had forgotten the hairclip Samanta had given him. He carefully picked it up and pinned his bangs to the side.

He looked in the mirror—and instantly blushed.
“Damn Samanta…”
He glanced at the clock.
“Crap, I’m gonna be late!”

He rushed out, still flustered.

The morning passed without much trouble—no one said anything. But during lunch break, while walking through the cafeteria, he heard two girls nearby:

“Fabrício’s new haircut is sooo cute, right?”
“Yesss! That little clip makes him look totally like a girl!

Fabrício pretended he hadn’t heard a thing, but his face turned red in an instant.
“G-girl…?” he thought, stunned.

He stood frozen for a few seconds, then quickly looked away and slipped out discreetly, trying not to draw attention—even though the redness in his face made that impossible.
The more he thought about what he had just heard, the more flustered he got.
And deep down… a part of him didn’t really hate it.

Part 2 – No Time, No Pants

“Oh no…” Fabrício muttered, staring at his phone. “I totally forgot I made plans with the boys today…”

Samanta, lying on the couch with her laptop, raised an eyebrow.
“What’s the problem? Need help with your hair again? Hehe.”
“Nooo. The problem is—I didn’t bring any ‘normal’ clothes when I stayed over. And I’m already super late!”

She stood up and went straight to her closet.
“Hm… I think I have a hoodie that’ll fit you. Where did I leave it…”

“Samanta, your clothes are… way too… you know…

She pulled a piece from the hanger and tossed it at him: a cream-colored hoodie, no prints, soft fabric, long sleeves.

“This one’s warm. And look—no cute designs, no bows! Good enough?”
She gave him a teasing grin.
"It’ll definitely fit. But I can’t promise it won’t look super loose on my tiny boyfriend"

“Samyyy!” he groaned, grabbing the hoodie.

“Now, for your legs… hmm… how about a skirt and some long socks? It’s cold out.”
“Honeeey! Be serious…”
“What? You know I hate wearing pants.”
“You… you know I’m not going out in public wearing a skirt.”

She giggled.
“So… you’d wear one at home?
Blushing, he replied,
“N-no…”

“Well, I’ve got a pair of shorts then. But you’re not escaping the long socks. Trust me—you’ll thank me when the wind hits.”

Reluctantly, Fabrício gave in.
“At least it’s not a skirt…”

Fabrício left the room wearing her hoodie—which, as always, was way too big on him—along with plain shorts and long socks that reached all the way up his thighs.
He looked at himself in the mirror and turned bright red.

“Great… I’m already the shortes one. Now I look like I walked straight out of a high school anime…”

He turned to Samanta, tugging gently at her sleeve.
“Samy… can you fix my hair? Help me look… less girly?”

Her eyes lit up.
“Of course!”
“Just don’t forget the less girly part, okay?” he emphasized.
“Shhh… sit still… let me think,” she murmured, focused.

She began aligning his hair with soft, careful motions. Her fingers smoothed down the sides, gathering all the long strands to the center of his nape. The right fringe, however, she left out on purpose, letting it frame his face.

Once gathered, she gently twisted the strands and pinned them into a clean, low bun. A few bobby pins here, a final adjustment there—and she gave the ends a last smoothing touch.

“Just like that…” she murmured, fixing the fringe. “One side open, to show off that cute little face.”

She took a step back, tilted her head, and smiled like an artist admiring her finished work.

His hair was now styled in a sleek, elegant low bun, with the right fringe falling softly along his cheek. Everything looked tidy and light, but still carefully done.

“Perfect. Now you’re ready. Neutral, practical… and it barely looks like you’ve got a huge, fluffy head of hair under there.”

Fabrício was impressed.
“Actually… it looks good. Thanks, love.”
“You’re welcome. Now go see your friends, my little sweetie.”
“Sammy…” he muttered, trying not to smile.

Samanta gave his hoodie a playful tug and kissed him goodbye.
"With a nervous breath and flushed cheeks, Fabrício stepped out, hoping the boys wouldn’t say anything... or maybe just a little

This week’s chapter didn’t push the story forward too much, but I wrote it more as a bridge between Chapter 5 and 7 — a mix of wrapping up 5 and setting the stage for 6.

Even if not much happened plot-wise, at least we got to see Fabrício rocking a few different hairstyles! ^^

There won’t be a new chapter next week, but you’ll get the continuation of Personal Secretary instead!
