It's time to change things in here, especially about the Monthly Comic Page and its poll. The latest one saw Ai Muhao's story winning, though, Ai Muhao is now nowhere to be found. So I do feel bad about drawing something for someone who isn't subscribing to my site anymore, and I can't reach anywhere else either. Which was confirmed by my fans on my Discord as well.
And this situation already happened a couple times in the past. I can't keep track each month of who is still subscribing and who isn't.
Also, for months in a row now, the people actively participating to the poll is constantly decreasing. When I started I easily had 100+ voters (with SP.com, Patreon and Subscribstar added up). Now I barely reach 40 on the best months.
Which tells me the comic page isn't as incentive and attractive to my supporters and fans as I thought or as it used to be. AND when you think about it. The winning story each month only indeed appeals to a fraction of you - I have roughly 250+ paying followers on my 3 sites packed together, and the comic pages appeals to a maximum of 40ish people each month. :/
And, it takes me ages to draw too.
So, the logical conclusion to all this is the monthly comic page will go, and I will solely focus on producing MY stories (illustrations, comic pages and animations).
Thank you for participating in the poll if you were actively doing it and sorry for this, but then again, the comic page system I implemented isn't succesful anymore, and I'm pretty sure you'll all enjoy getting more of my own stuff each month anyway.
So, no vote will take place for November, of course.
I will do the runner up page to replace Ai Muhao's story, and then I'll be 100% focusing on my projects (and some commissions too).

I honestly totally understand that point of view. You will or will not trust me on my word, but I've been struggling with that decision for months now. And I haven't found a good solution in any shape or form. As I already said, the comic page isn't motivating my subscribers anymore, numbers don't lie. I'm sad I'm losing a long time supporter, but in this case, even if AiMuhao's story gathered the most votes over many months, I don't see why I should do the work for someone who's not supporting my work anymore. And I never said it was his fault or anyone's! Anyhow, thank you again for your many years of support and your kind words. I still consider you a friend as we've worked together on many many occasions, and I won't let a small disagreement ruin that.

2025-10-24 07:26:49 +0000 UTCI hate to write a comment like this. But this is simply unfair. It would be different if something prevented you from drawing altogether. But in this case, the voters who won the poll by a large margin, and were announced as winning it, are now being disqualified in favor of others, due to something (muhao disappearing) that was absolutely no fault of their own. I've been a supporter for ten years, and would have for another ten, but it seems it's time for me to go. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
