The Future of the Patreon, Tiers, and Art

Hiya folks! I wanted to talk about the future of this patreon; how and why I want to bring back/resurrect an old tier, and add an extra one; and how that plays into THE FUTURE... of the patreon.

But FIRST! Some backstory for newbies: there used to be two tiers in the distant past, in a time long, long ago.. in a galaxy far- wait. Wrong movie. Anyway, yes, there were two tiers: the Guppy (the one you're on now), and the Goldfish tier that was a little more in buckaroos, $5. A little over a year ago I unlisted the Goldfish tier and asked folks to jump onto the Guppy because I felt I wasn't doing enough and it wasn't fair to ask for support then. To ask for support, one has to earn it too. And that, leads me to this post.

I've been much more active here and still have some extra things planned in the works: some more polls, a few more small animations and another comic that I recently posted some concept sketches for. And that's all not to mention the FOE game concept: a game I'd really like to make a reality. Essentially, I intend to continue creating great artwork here and I hope many of you will continue to enjoy it and of course, lend a hand in support. 

With that in mind, and with my plans here for the future I have to mention that I intend to change things up with respect to the tier system early next year. I intend to have a new tier, the "Koi" $3 tier, and to bring back the "Goldfish" $5 tier, as well. Starting in February all art will be posted under those two tiers identically, while the "Guppy" tier will continue to stay as a kind of tip jar and for discord access (though discord will of course be part of the other tiers, too).

I hope that this change and the time provided before it goes into effect is a fair one for everyone, though of course I'll understand if some might be displeased with it. I don't want for anyone to ever feel unhappy or upset and I hope this is something that still is fair to all. I want to continue creating the art here I think would be fun and work well and is course, enjoyable for all. And I hope I can have your continued support in that.
