Amazon Apocalypse 6: The Story So Far
Added 2025-05-21 15:00:10 +0000 UTCMy name is Carter Smith. I was born to a normal family and had a mostly normal childhood, with one minor difference. Growing up, my best friend was secretly an Amazonian from a far-off planet. Before she returned home, she warned me of something called the System, and it was coming for Earth.
My parents died when I was a young man, but I'd never forgotten her warning. I used my savings to buy a farmhouse on the outskirts of my city and stocked it full of supplies for whatever might come. Originally, I'd planned to live out my days there until things returned to some semblance of normal. But when the end of the world finally came, I found myself thrust into a much bigger role than I'd ever planned for.
My early levels led me to become an unwilling leader among frightened survivors. I battled monsters and humans alike, all in an effort to save myself and the people I cared about. I fought hard, and eventually died in an ambush organized by Craig, an old co-worker who I'd never gotten along with.
But death was not the end of me. The System is far from perfect, and by working with other discontented souls I raised myself from the dead, swearing vengeance on the one who'd killed me, and promising to save those who'd helped me return to life. The battle was fierce, but eventually I claimed victory over my old nemesis.
But the System didn't appreciate my resurrection, and as a result inflicted me with a Death Curse. Monsters hunted me wherever I went, eager to claim my life for the System once again. I isolated myself from my settlement, giving them a council to look to but keeping watch over them from afar.
After finally making it to my farmhouse, I found I was not alone. Sakura, my old boss, had come with me. Bridget, an intern from the office had too. I was grateful for the company, and the two of them meant my life was anything but lonely.
Eventually, I was contacted once again by Myrina, who reached out to me from Themyscira. I joined her there and learned far more about the Arcadia Multiverse. I forged alliances with her clan and the people of her world. Thanks to them, I could ensure the survivors of Crownhill would have the food and military support we needed to survive the integration.
My growing web of off-world alliances led me further and further afield, where I eventually met Reluna of the Dragon Lodge. Necessity and opportunity allowed me to join the lodge as a student, where I learned new spells and started a business selling magitech power armor. That led me into a tournament duel against Cyra, where I had to fight for love in the final match. Victory there let me on a crusade across a distant world led by my brother-in-law.
I was in command of the Nineteenth Legion, filled with the mages vital for cracking enemy walls and breaking cultivator formations. But I found the legions my brother-in-law had been given were far from perfect, and even as a prince this was his first real war. More and more, I lent him a helping hand drilling inexperienced and under-equipped troops and rooting out traitors and spies among our ranks.
On the battlefield, I met Mimiko, a cultivator from the forces we were fighting against. From her, I learned that cultivators weren't all bad, and some could even be worked with, like the Goddess in Jade.
I also learned that the cultivators were looking for something. Meanwhile, they weren't the only faction with a stake in this battle. Hidden on the world was a Planetary System Hub, an ancient device crafted by the creators of the System. It was an artifact of immense value not just to me, but to the cultivators, and another group the System called heretics.
Despite both of them bearing down on us, I made it out of there with the Planetary System Hub and used it to relocate the local System node into it, freeing her from the clutches of Vayly Vaust, the local A-Grade tyrant whose family had ruled this corner of System Space for generations.
Unfortunately, my activities drew me into a conflict far beyond my level, and it was all I could do to stay alive. But while she fought the Goddess in Jade, I returned to our crusader forces to find them beset by both heretics and Chaos Gods.
Both wanted me dead, and both forces brought powerful armies to bear. Worse, two of the Chaos Gods were present in person, the Chaos Serpent and the Chaos Wolf.
Luckily, I wasn't alone. My father in law, the God-King of Glacia, engaged the Chaos Serpent in battle. Meanwhile, the rest of us fought the Chaos Wolf. In the end, I told them all to retreat to my mystic realm while I held the feral god off. Then, I called in a favor for the System and pulled out my trump card. The Chaos Gods weren't the only one with a Chaos God title.
I transformed myself into the Chaos Dragon, losing my sanity but chasing off the Chaos Wolf. I might have been lost for good if my father in law hadn't pulled me out of the mindless killing frenzy. Thankfully, he had, and my Chaos God title was suppressed once again.
Now, with the System happy, and my promises to Prince Herius, the Goddess in Jade, and the System all fufilled, I can at last return to Crownhill. A new integration has begun, and there is still much to do. I've promised Sakura we would find her father, and Bridget has a surprise for me.
Compared to the cosmic threats of the multiverse, dealing with an integration should be relatively straightforward. But somehow, I don't think things are going to be that easy.
<Note>
Alright, you guys are eager for book 6, and I'm starting to feel the 'I'm falling behind schedule' stress that comes on when I haven't written enough recently. Originally, I wanted to have a bit more fun and worldbuilding / note reorganization, but that'll just have to happen while I write!
First real chapter is dropping soon.

Excited to get back to the main story. But the side stories were also fun. Looking forward to the Architect world building story and I would Love to see more or the Big Titty Elves story just because of how funny it was.
