Amazon Apocalypse 5: Carter's abilities cheat sheet (as of chapter 5)
Added 2025-01-04 16:05:01 +0000 UTCHere's Carter's cheat sheet, as promised.
Note, he won't actually have the new skills listed here until he reaches B-Grade, but that's coming up soon.
Anyway, I gotta make one of these for the whole main cast, though the girls' will be shorter since I haven't gone into too much detail about most of their abilities.
After that, a bit of worldbuilding documents, some tax stuff, and then finalizing my outline for the second half of this book. I pretty much know what's going to happen in the first half, but I haven't decided how long to make the second part.
Utility
Lifeforce Tether (Epic)
Bind your lifeforce to another allowing you to share health points. This teather will only function with individuals deeply bound to you through powerful soul magic.
Mana Siphon (Epic)
Draw mana from unconventional sources, like stable enchantments or living entities. This may damage enchantments or kill mana-dependent lifeforms.
Ethereal Wings (Epic)
Conjure glowing wings made of mana, granting the power of flight.
Elemental Step (Rare)
Utilize the elemental planes of magic to teleport a short step. The mana cost and cooldown increase exponentially with the distance traveled.
Iron Will (Common)
Exert stats all the way to their thresholds without suffering the debilitating effects normally associated with doing so.
Mind Over Flesh (Uncommon)
Grants the ability to convert mana into health points.
Share Curse (Rare)
Share any negative status effects with others. Carter uses this to share his Death Curse, which prevents him from gaining experience from killing monsters, with his companions so they can level up faster.
Lightsculptor’s Brush (Rare)
Paint the air with a brush of multicolored light. The detail of the illusion depends on the user’s artistic skill and talent for mana manipulation.
Mana Overload (Mythic)
Supercharge your enchantments, talismans, and equipment with a sudden surge of power, allowing you to use them to greater effect at the cost of damaging the item.
Multipurpose Glyphs (Epic)
With preparation, you may store enchanted items and talismans within the extremities of your soul as glyphs. These glyphs will appear as markings on your skin, which will be destroyed on use of the corresponding item.
Machine Spirit Awakening (Rare)
Stir the will of unborn steel elementals, allowing for the easier manipulation of complex mechanical components. Complex machines will function better and longer in your presence, and basic repairs will occur spontaneously.
Lifesteal (Common)
A small portion of damage is returned as health.
Machine Spirit Awakening (Rare)
This ability allows Carter to awaken the spirits within machines, potentially allowing the machines to self-repair.
Charisma Scaling
Commanding Aura (Rare)
Your presence inspires fear or respect. This passive ability increases your persuasiveness to those you hold legitimate command over. Even in the face of mutiny or overwhelming foes, the thought of disobeying your orders will rarely cross the minds of your subordinates.
Diplomat's Charm (Rare)
This passive dramatically enhances opportunity for dialogue with opposing and neutral factions, giving you the chance to sway them in favor of your cause.
Direct Order (Epic)
You may give a soldier under your command a direct order. Their ability to disobey is dependent upon the difference in your relative Charisma stats.
Pacify (Epic)
When you hold overwhelming power in a given social scenario, you can attempt to pacify your enemy, causing them to instantly accept the futility of their situation and surrender.
Conversion (Mythic)
Enemies who are defeated by you will be more open-minded to hearing your perspective. If sufficiently charmed by your words, they may switch sides and join your cause as allies.
Luck Scaling
Curse of Ill-Fortune (Rare)
Decrease the luck of your opponent. This effect scales off the difference between your luck and theirs.
Fortune's Favor (Epic)
You and your allies have a better instinct for finding hidden treasure or loot.
Fate's Blessing (Epic)
Negative effects or debuffs will frequently fail to apply to you or your allies. Attacks dealt to you will be much less likely to be critical.
Slippery Foe (Epic)
When your health is below 25%, your luck stat gains a 50% boost.
Critical Strike (Mythic)
Once per minute, guarantee a critical strike, dealing greatly increased damage effect. If the attack would have already been a critical strike, it is enhanced to being a super-critical strike, with exponentially increased damage and effect.
Buffing
Dragonsouled Mage (Mythic)
A penultimate spell of the Dragon Lodge. Allows the user to take on the soul of a dragon, massively increasing mana pool, resistance to mental and soul attack, mana regeneration, vitality regeneration, and the effects of other dragon enhancement. Once learned and activated for the first time, this spell remains active continuously. Warning: Overexerting yourself while using too many dragon-derived spells may result in a draconic transformation.
Awakening the Inner Beast (Rare)
Awakens the monster that dwells within all mortal souls. Both the user and nearby allies become more aggressive and eager for battle. Weakens nearby enemies, sometimes causing them to flee in terror.
Sanctified Grounds (Epic)
This combination of magical and divine processes sanctify an area to a user's divine alignment, enhancing their magic and the effects of any divine blessings they might wield.

Life-Saving Emergency Abilities
Living Paradox (Mythic)
Upon taking fatal damage, swap fates with an alternate version of yourself that successfully survived the lethal attack. Can activate once per day.
Hand of Fate (Epic)
Passive ability that shields you from incoming attacks, especially projectiles. Attacks not under conscious control will be caught in spatial distortions that throw them off course. Melee opponents will perceive a slightly distorted sense of you, causing some attacks to miss or otherwise critical strikes to hit non-lethal areas. This ability can be overwhelmed by excessively powerful or frequent attacks but will constantly regenerate.
Time Stutter (Mythic)
This ability dilates time around the user's mind, granting them additional opportunities to make use of cognitive abilities or perform the mental component of spell casting.
Intelligence Scaling (Offensive)
Mana Barrage (Epic)
Conjure mana bolts ahead of time and release them rapidly. The amount of bolts that can be sustained depends on his mana reserves. These mana bolts can take on different elemental aspects. The effect of this spell is enhanced by other users of the spell, as Carter is the spell’s inventor.
Arcane Blade (Common)
This ability allows Carter to envelop a weapon in arcane energy. The weapon deals additional damage based on the user's mana pool. Myrina's Theory Crafter specifically recommends this skill.

Corrupting Mark (Epic)
All attacks leave a mark upon the target, infecting them with corrupting energy that deals poison damage over time. Each subsequent affliction of Corrupting Mark increases this passive damage. These enhanced Corrupting Marks create visible wounds on the target. Striking these wounds deals significant damage and enhances the associated Corrupting Mark to a Greater Corrupting Mark, which has the effect of five regular marks. Attacks to these wounds also count as critical hits. These marks can be detonated to deal a significant amount of damage all at once, at the cost of removing them from their target.
Hemorrhage (Epic)
Critical strikes build up bloodloss damage. When bloodless reaches a certain threshold, the hemorrhage effect is triggered, dealing immense damage to all foes that bleed.
Eldritch Augmentation (Rare)
Temporarily boost physical abilities by reinforcing his body with otherworldly energies and concepts. Abberation and Arcana are combined, and their stat effects are added to Strength, Agility, Vitality, and Dexterity. This ability is extremely painful to use and leaves the user unable to cast spells while it is active.
Void Cannon (Epic)

Exploit Weakness (Rare)
Analyze an enemy and identify vulnerabilities, increasing damage and bypassing defenses. This ability usually highlights anatomical weak points and weaknesses to damage types.

Travel through a shadowy dimension adjacent to the real world, where otherworldly souls make their impression on the realm. Powerful beings can have powerful shadows that are dangerous to encounter. Time moves more slowly in the Shadow Realm, and minutes can feel like days. This realm has a negative effect on your mental state.
Summon Void Leviathan (Epic)
Summon the void Leviathan Sharky. He can evolve over time, given care and feeding.
He possesses the following abilities/attributes:
All-Devouring Hunger. The Void Leviathan desires to consume all life and emanates a terrifying aura that drains vitality from nearby enemies who display fear in its presence. Creatures without sufficient willpower will fall victim to Sharky's aura.
Soul Eater. The Void Leviathan craves mortal souls. Upon consumption, the souls of its victims are scoured of their fears, traumas, and resentment.
Create Voidling. The last lingering fragments of the Leviathan's victims will manifest as minor voidlings, which seek to attack and grow stronger. Voidlings are innately hostile but will follow Sharky's commands.
Soulchain Nexus (Epic)

Comments
I could also that skill could get more personalised the higher rarity like on Primal Hunter I.e. instead of Living Paradox (Epic) it would upgrade to Fatum’s Embrace (Legendary)… similar to some of the Amazonian skills

2025-01-08 00:23:42 +0000 UTCYea like combine all the dragon titled skills to make something like dragon augmentation where it keeps all the skill effects but has an effect on bloodline and race when he becomes b grade

2025-01-07 07:46:33 +0000 UTCWhy limit yourself to 2 skills combination? Combine all 3 and make the whole greater then its parts. Also you can also introduce larger skills that may take more then one slot. That would solve your "too many skills to remember" problem.

2025-01-06 22:40:41 +0000 UTCI think it would be worth it, specially as they can combine with the others as you upgrade them through “synergy found between….”
b bor
2025-01-05 19:49:18 +0000 UTCI can see the Mage Armor (Rare) somehow upgrading into Regalia (Legendary)

2025-01-05 19:47:32 +0000 UTCI haven't decided yet. He may combine Elemental Step with his fancy new Etherial Wings instead.

2025-01-05 04:17:35 +0000 UTCWill carter be combining elemental step and shadow stride to get like a shadow movement ability? I feel like if he did combine them the elemental would slide to strictly shadow or void and probably with them both being a movement ability that would probably cut the cooldown exponentially and have a bit more versatility because of what shadow stride is already. If he could choose whether he goes to a shadow dimension vs just moving shadow to shadow in the current dimension. Would be less taxing on him and far less dangerous staying in a shadow for a time and to make it less broken he could have a time limit he stays in just a shadow before he has to go deeper to the shadow dimension if he wants to stay in a shadow.

2025-01-04 23:22:10 +0000 UTCNeed to merge a few of these into uber spells.

2025-01-04 21:11:28 +0000 UTCYeah, some are overdue for upgrades. It's the downside of having so many new skills. After spending a whole chapter gaining new abilities, I'm reluctant to spend another chapter upgrading old ones.
Marvin
2025-01-04 19:01:44 +0000 UTCThank you very much for this comprehensive list. Machine Spirit Awakening and Dragonblooded Mage have been listed twice. Now that we see them all here, a couple of skills such as Lifesteal and Iron Will could use upgrades as they are important to Carter's fighting style but are only Common rarity.

2025-01-04 17:35:23 +0000 UTCI think it was always once per day, but I will double check with last book’s manuscript.
Marvin
2025-01-04 17:17:05 +0000 UTCHe hasn’t read through the book yet. But as a minor spoiler: something that powerful is too strong to be a mere skill.
Marvin
2025-01-04 17:16:27 +0000 UTCGood point. I forgot that.

2025-01-04 17:15:42 +0000 UTClol I was aww fuck when I saw it was just a character sheet but I saw right below it the chapter. 🤣

2025-01-04 16:22:01 +0000 UTCI thought living paradox was a once per year ability? Did you decide to change this?

2025-01-04 16:22:00 +0000 UTCUnless I missed it I didn't see the homeless mage skill in there. I would almost bet that the kind actually figured out the read a woman's mind spell.
