So that was Memories of the Reborn! I hope you enjoyed it. Writing it was quite an adventure for me. You’re probably wondering what comes next.

For the next few weeks, I’ll mainly be posting worldbuilding content. That’s where my headspace is as I’m outlining the story, so that’s what I’ll be putting up here. You guys won’t be getting the worldbuilding work I’m doing right now though. Mostly, I’ll be posting maps, terrible sketches, and worldbuilding documents from while I was working on the previous books. This will minimize the amount of censoring I need to do to hold back spoilers.

I’m going to need a few weeks to settle on my outline and really start writing book 4. I will eventually start posting book 4 chapters, but that may take a month or two. Usually, my process is quite slow at first as I work on worldbuilding, then outlining, then preparing character and setting reference guides for myself. I did not design the Spellheart series in a way that was easy to write, so it requires a lot more background work than you might think. After that, I start writing fairly slowly and speed up until I get about ¾ of the way into the book. After that things start to slow down again as I try to pull everything together at the end. So that’s the pattern you can expect new chapters to show up in. Slow at first, then faster, then slowly again as we get close to the end.

I do have plans for additional content besides the Spellheart series. This is far from the only idea floating around in my head and it’s only my desire to keep myself from being spread thin that keeps me working on the Spellheart series alone. That being said, I have to launch something new at some point, both because not doing so would be a terrible career move, and because I already have a bunch of other stuff already written/outlined. I’d like to use you guys as a sounding board for a few new stories I’ve been thinking about to figure out which ones I should think about turning into novels.

Finally, I’d like to say: don’t worry if you want to unsubscribe now that the book is over. I know many of you were only here to read the book, and I definitely can’t keep up this 2-3 chapters per day pace now that we’ve gone through what I’ve already written. I’ll definitely announce on my blog when I start posting book 4 on here seriously, and I won’t feel insulted or upset if you unsubscribe until then. For those who just want a lower financial commitment, the vast majority of the content I post here will either be immediately available to the wisp tier or will eventually make its way down there, so don’t feel bad about lowering your pledge either now that I can no longer keep up the previous reward benefits for the $5 tier. I believe patreon also has a follow feature, which will allow you to access any public stuff I post. I will likely make some of the worldbuilding content public, since that’s not going to get me in trouble with KU.

You know, I actually bumped into my original sketch from writing book 1 the other day. I'll make that a patreon post. I can't post my current version because it's filled with spoilers, but the book 1 version should be fine. I have also considered doing worldbuilding posts, since I have a bunch of essay-type writings from when I was outlining the previous books.

I would like some hear some more about your world building ideas. I have just brought the 3 book and will read it soon. Imo this is one of the bettest non standard rpg worlds, the advancement stuff is pretty interesting and it really feels fleshed out. If you are willing to share more of the "stats" behind the world, i'd read it. :) A map of the heartwood? A sketch would be fine. It's sometimes a little hard to figure out where in the Heartwood things are compared to each other. Keep up the good work, it has been fun reading a chapter at a time. :)

I do hope to be able to do thrice a week regularly, though that may go up and down depending on what I'm doing at the moment. That being said, I completely understand if some people only joined because I was able to do 2-3 a day for a short while. That's just unfortunately not a sustainable rate for me.

Thanks for the update and the heads up! 2-3 a day was a bit nuts compared to the other authors on here . I think people would still be happy if you were to cut back to 2-3 a week in the future.
