Update

howdy yall!

year's almost over, and thankfully right before the end there, i was able to finish the last of my commission queue. This year was pretty rough on me from an art pov im not gonna lie. I've had to deal with a lot of frustration and personal turmoil around how much art has been a struggle as ive been dealing with burnout.

I'm happy that im done with commissions, and provided my job remains secure going forward, im honestly planning not to re-open for a while. Ive spent the better part of the last decade being a commission artist, and while ive made a lot of friends and professional relationships that i value through it, it's also become a large stressor on my mind, especially as i am reaching a point in my life where i really want to achieve certain goals for myself.

my goal in 2023 is, hopefully, to fall back in love with making art, get back into re-training my art fundamentals, and taking a good, hard look at Krypttids and try to turn it into something i can be proud of and, more importantly, complete as a long term project. 

I'm going to be taking a month (maybe two) off from making art outside of my day job, to let myself fully get the rest ive needed. During this period, i will be pausing my patreon and subscribestar. Y'all have been a massive support for me this past year, and it truly does mean the WORLD to me. Your patience has been humbling, and i want to return healthier and well rested. I'm pausing the campaign because i don't want to take people's support for granted, and because i feel as though i would be taking advantage of people whom maybe dont check patreon too often, and dont notice that im away for a while. 

When i re-start the campaign again in early 2023, I'll be restructuring things as well. I'm probably going to simplify the tiers and make it just a simple tip jar, rather than something with direct rewards tied to it. I think i need to separate myself and my art from the monthly grind for a good while, so that i may form a healthier relationship with it.

But once again, thank you everyone so much for your support through all of this. It truly means the world to me, and I hope i will return a stronger artist.
