honestly loving this season... i know there's a lot of drama and frustration but i'm just so intrigued in everything. and it also has me so emotional ๐ญ let me know all your thoughts up till this point!! what are your opinions on the mom AND on benji/victors arguments ๐

I know this was put up about 6 months ago, but I think I can offer a unique perspective on Isabel's journey, having grown up in a religious (though not Catholic) family and having fought against my own sexuality for literal years because I bought into all the things the church I grew up in told me. I was in enough of a bubble that by the time I met other people who were openly gay I was convinced my feelings were wrong and so were theirs (though I never said that to any of them). So if I didn't start accepting that I was okay being gay for over 15 years from my first realizing I had feelings for other men, I can certainly get Isabel taking a few months to begin coming to terms with it. Do I think she's been behaving badly? Of course I do. Do I understand it? Definitely. (And I should add that I think Ana Ortiz is wonderful in the nuanced way she portrays this character.)
