-Talking - About Quarterly Comics -

This post is just to talk about something I thought the last few months.

In all of those years, talking with you and trying to be clear of my intentions and sharing what I think is one of the things I considered nice of Patreon system.

Basically, I'm worried about the system to choose the quarterly comic.

The reason is I think is not representative enough if we count the amount of characters we have.

For example, last poll Lana won by a 2%, I'm not sure but probably is just one vote. That's not a problem, but the others options lost just for a 2% more or less. At the end of the poll, near 60 persons voted (I understand the others ones would be fine with all) and from those 60 maybe around 20 get a comic they like.

Also, I'm pretty sure some girls never have a choice to be in a comic.

The last thing is the continuation between comics, there are just long stories about characters sharing some lore.

So, what about if I just decided who appear in the comic, and I'd try to make something more heterogeneous?.

I could announce what girl will be in the next comic, just in case somebody thinks it is not good enough to pledge. I think is not fair pledge for something that probably you will never get, and I think could be frustrating.

This doesn't mean I won't pique attention to your ideas or preferences, it is just a way to give a little bit of everything I have for everyone. For example, maybe nobody give a shit for Ada (is just an example) but if you have 9 pages with her, maybe you'd discover it is a decent character.

Maybe I'm overthinking about it so much?

This is not written in a rock, but if you have few minutes, I like to know what do you think about it.

I should decide myself the comics? If some months I like to make some parody of a videogame I should do it? I should focus only in our redhead girls? I should keep the polls as usual?

Feel free to let me know. I'll be reading the comments, but feel free to send me a message or an email if you want.

Thank you so much as usual for your support!

Let's say you have your ten or so girls. Everyone vote and Eloise is winner. Next time everyone will have a little bit of help, except Eloise, and this time it'll be Lana. Then the next time again, everyone will have some increased help, except Eloise and Lana, etc etc.

Just an idea but someone else I follow here is using a system when people vote for a girl (to make a drawing), but it's also weighted by how long a girl was added into the pool.

I see, the visual reference is a good point, for some reason I think people already know the characters, but even with that, I think a picture is worth a thousand words, don't you? Thanks, James.

I like the idea of you picking the plot and characters for the comics. I enjoy seeing the new directions you have to offer. Your art and creativity is what I return for. Variety is welcome. I do see the concern of giving the people what they want. The idea of limiting the poll options is a good one. Removing past winners and having the options cycle out each month could be good. You could even do a special poll at the end of the year with frequent winners. Additionally, you should include an image of who each character is and what they look like. It’ll make it much easier to vote with a visual reference.
