So for like a year starting in late 2022 I wore shades in most of my self portraits. I then got a lot of these shade shots published and exhibited without any context. Everyone probably thinks I’m a G but it’s not just that but that I’m also protecting my eyesight after getting LASIK in Tijuana.

OK IM FLYING TO FLORIDA TOMORROW THATS CRAZY I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO TRAVEL LIKE THIS SINCE 2017 AND REALLY HOPING IT GOES WELL PLEASE THINK OF ME FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS. Preferably in the morning as soon as you wake up and at night right before you go to sleep. In all seriousness I am both terrified I’ll be hurting too much to enjoy myself and dying to live a little. Do you like my potential art show outfit? I’m listening to Snoop Dogg and Friends while I pack.

This is all to somewhat say that you are very lucky if you have the freedom to live your life without constantly negotiating your ability to feel safe in your body and then through that, to feel safe out in the world.
