No, they aren’t Christmas colors.

It’s nice to feel inspired to create after a while of not feeling that way. It’s nice to have things that help move me into new spaces that provide such inspiration. No I don’t mean physical spaces like this house. And for the record— I’ll take an unfinished basement over a finished one any day if I’m gonna be shooting inside (the proof is in the post archives…).

Feeling inspired to move through some of this sorrow and guilt that comes from knowing my country is continuing to bankroll Genocide. Used said inspiration today to take some promotion pics for a fundraiser event I am participating in with 12 other beautiful art model humans on Dec 26th. We are raising funds for crucial humanitarian aid in Gaza. I don’t currently have any illustrator/figure drawing artist subscribers, but it’s an online figure drawing marathon that will last 6 hours from 1pm - 7pm EST. Please consider joining us. Anyone is welcome to come hang out and sliding scale donations are welcome. You’re also welcome to just donate if you’d like to support our efforts but are unable to join. Our last event raised over $10,000. Reach out to me for more information and registration— will be hosted via Zoom.

Thank you to anyone who has been or would like to be a part of this. I haven’t figure modeled in over a year due to the stress on my joints (it’s a lot harder than it looks!) I’m glad that I am able to make an exception here and donate my time and energy to this cause.

I took a few more that really came out lovely and I’ll share them to higher tiers later, but was excited about what I was able to do in like 20 minutes as the rest of the day faded to night at 4:30pm. The Winter Solstice is tomororw and I am doing a few special things for that (it being the only special day I really celebrate during the “holiday season”). Hope you all have a beautiful upcoming night and day and night again. After that we’ll be on the other side. Honoring the darkness and opening to the light. 🪷
