So life update post Milton

I'm alive and my house is okay for the most part.

As my last post I said that my neighbor's huge, building sized, oak tree fell in my back yard, crushing my shed and fence and destroying everything I kept in there as well as trapping the 10+ Gallons of gas I stored for this exact situation..

As if that didnt make me misterable enough, In Florida tree law says that any tree that's on your property is your's, it doesnt matter where it came from. So Even though it was my neighbor's tree I am 100% responsible for it's removal...

Wonderful. This is a 5000 dollar tree removal job easily. There is more tree on my property than hous e, I cant emphesize how big this tree is.

So I've decided I'm not paying for it. Im going to get a chain saw and it's going to be a month's worth of work but im going to be out there every single day cutting it up. Im keeping everythying I earned, im not letting it take my vacation from me and my savings and my everything. Im not going to cave and give up. It's just going to be me taking back my life like I always have.

Some good news is I was was able to crawl through about 20 foot of branches to my crushed shed and I saw something red inside the rubble. There is about a 1.5 foot hole in what remains of my collapsed shed I shone a flashlight in there and It was a few gas cans that survived! So Im not crawling in there since it's still an unstable multi ton tree on top of a shed and im not risking collapse, so I built a hook out of an old shovel handle and a coat rack hook and I was able to stick it in there and pull out about 5 gallons of gas! So atleast I have gas for one day and hopefully the gas stations open up before then so I can survive the upcomming days.

I'm probably going to be powerless for the rest of the month..

See this tree also took out two power poles and the line directly to my house (funny, right?) So FPL (Power company) is going to have to come in and run an entirely new system. So Meanwhile here I am legally responsible for a multi thousand dollar tree removal that my insurance wont cover because it didnt damage anything besides some fence (4k a year well spent, lemme tell ya) and a cheap shed, Im going to be without power for almost an entire month, and I'm going to have a gasbill of probably 400 dollars.

I'm going to do the best I can to make sure power is flowing. I spent extra on a second window AC unit thats coming in soon and I got nicer extension cords and splitters so hopefully I can keep drawing and earn your sub for the month <3

But yeah.. I'm alive, so thats good lol
