Silver City

Self shot in Death Valley. Currently in a  r e a l   h o u s e  with  w a l l s  staying at some friends' place while they travel so I'm having a relaxing time editing to distract from annoying muscle cramps and listening to some albums in full.

Is there an album out there that you absolutely cannot listen to without playing the whole thing in order from start to finish?

A few of mine off the top of my head would be "Paul's Boutique" by the Beastie Boys, "Mala" by Devendra Banhart and "Bloom" by Beach House.

The first one is because I found the CD at a thrift store when I was like 14 and played it over and over and over again one summer in my dad's RV. The second one is because a college boyfriend got me this record and anything I get and listen to on vinyl becomes a necessary full album experience. And the third, I fell in love with someone while traveling in Costa Rica in 2016 and they showed me this album. So for like 3 months after I returned it's all I played while missing them.

I super duper miss traveling solo and falling in love with people I meet in the span of a day. And diving into a whirlwind romance that lasts for moments or days or weeks while we travel together, only to part ways and never see each other again. Actually I did this in the Philippines too. I met this Japanese Aussie and we would listen to "Caress Your Soul" by Sticky Fingers and it still makes me cry in a good way and so I'd like to add that one to my list.

The world is so big and beautiful and infinite and I love playing and exploring and connecting with nothing but full potency. I miss being able bodied and I severely hope to find my ability to travel again soon. It's been great to have this art outlet. Artlet. To pour into it a lot of this fire and energy that I used to spend on my preferred lifestyle. But late at night every night I burn and yearn for it so much it makes me sweat and turns my chest numb.

I'm going to echo some of Jeff's sentiments from above in regards to the Flaming Lips. Lengthy and challenging for a longer night road trip: https://youtu.be/11H4YdJ6ejU More sunny - good for day driving: https://youtu.be/MBH-169OHNg
