Homeward bound (29 image update + what’s to come)

Spending the next few days driving west to my home state of colorado.

The Rugged Tour took a while to recover from and I’m definitely looking forward to being back in the vicinity of my doctors so I can attend to some things that have been more difficult to manage lately. But I also feel like I’ve transcended a plane of stagnation I’ve been stuck in for the past couple of years and feel myself shifting with excitement for more adventure and more creativity in my coming days. I feel inspired to find more community in the places I visit and generally during my short time here on this planet. Like minded friends who can uplift and support me and I them. I generally am very independent and very good at being alone… but damn does it feel good to melt into the safety of community. This is something I got a real, deep taste of on the Rugged Tour and between all the artistry and physical exertion, it might be the surprising thing that affected me to the most. I’m really excited to reach a sort of home base in the Colorado Front Range and see how I integrate these new endeavors into my journey. That said, my favorite way to connect isn’t others is to create with them, so I’ve found new friends in the past few days and some of them I’ve had the chance to shoot with. Excited to share these collaborations with Thoracic+ along with the tour photos and some empowering self portraits I’ve taken along the way.

Once I land at my next “basecamp” I’ll really have the opportunity to organize a lot of loose ends that have perpetuated since I left Virginia in a pretty frazzled rush. I haven’t really felt rested or grounded since before then. And I already feel to fulfilled and rejuvinated being on the road again. So I can’t wait to feel these ways without the obstacle of perpetual exhaustion ✌🏽
