Lens Test + Prana Saga (video for all patrons)

Hi all, as promised here is a 20 minute video decompressing from my lens fiasco from the other night. Happy to talk more about myself and my art and my journey as I get more comfortable talking to the camera.

I had kind of already done most of the testing so I figured we were good to go. You can’t see it in the video but there are some minor lens aberrations that I might have to get repaired. Other than that really happy she’s still alive as it’s my favorite lens and really the only one I shoot with.

Note... I attempt to show you the moody skies a couple times but had to compress the video a ton to get it on Vimeo so they don't really show up.

Thanks for the supportive words Doug! ✨ And I’m glad chiro has been helpful for you. Repetitive stress injuries from subtle ongoing imbalances such as “favoring a side” can really add up and take a long to undo and heal from due to how much you have to rewrite the way you move and exist. It’s so important to check in on these things as early as possible! I have explored almost every modality of physical rehab I can get my hands on (Eastern to Western), which includes chiropractic medicine— you have to be careful as there is a lot of variability between practitioners! I’m so glad it sounds like you found one that you like. (I have some recommendations for bodywork modalities if that’s something you think would be helpful the supplement your chiro. That has personally been the greatest contributor to my healing. It’s like PT and massage wrapped into one.) ❤️

Wow, Prana, that is a powerful video. First of all, I agree, that you experienced a bit of magick there in being able to snap the lens back into place. And I also agree that you need to give yourself space and permission to feel what you are feeling, to process it in the time that it takes to do so, and allow yourself to make mistakes. We all make them. It is part of the human experience. In fact, we learn much more from our mistakes than we can from our successes. I recently started seeing a chiropractor to deal with some joint pain I had been experiencing. I don’t know if you have ever seen a chiropractor or not, but I do know that when they evaluated me, they were able to show me how I had been favoring a particular side, and the adjustments have helped to relieve some joint pressure. They were also able to show me X-rays on my spine and other joints to show where degeneration has occurred and how to correct for some of that. If that is something you haven’t done, it might be worth considering, if that is feasible for you. Sending loving and healing vibes your way. Thank you for sharing you journey with me.
