I ruined another pretty picture.
This is how I often feel in my body. My joints are hypermobile so my muscles and fascia get super tight and rigid to try to add compensatory stability to my body, but it gets messy and painful real quick. I’m simultaneously working through all this tension and as well as slowly building healthy and balanced muscle strength to create productive and pain-free stability to aid my joints! Most days I wake up a rigid-yet-floppy mess and have to untangle and organize myself while doing exercises to make the upcoming days easier to manage. It’s a full time job! But feeling these improvements as well as seeing healthier alignment in my self portraits is encouraging.
