Dev Update #2
Added 2020-08-03 23:43:55 +0000 UTCThis is the second update on the progress of Ripples - Episode 2. The last update was on July 18th, and not a lot was done then because of the late start on creating Ripples Episode Two. Mostly because of Ep. 1a, the Android build, and lots of writing.
Since the 18th, I have been working on Ripples non-stop every day and got a lot of work done. Currently, there are almost 200 images and 11 animations, which most images and all animations were done in the last two weeks. The animations on average are longer in this episode and better quality. I've been putting more effort into them. Ten of the animations are for one scene and the other animation is a 25-second intro animation for Episode 2. So this episode will have more animations per scene that are better quality.
I haven't put a time frame on Ep 2 release, but I am trying to make it around 3 months time total for episode two. It will be a big episode just like the first. So if I keep going at the pace I have been going(I will not be slowing down at all), I will get close.

If Ripples was a sandbox type game, I wouldn't mind putting updates out every couple of weeks with a couple of scenes each time. But in a story-based visual novel like this, it's best to have a big updated. Most of the big visual novel type games like this always take 3, 4 or even 5 months to release each update. So I think this was the best choice.

2020-08-04 00:39:13 +0000 UTCMan! Between the Custom scenes, the preview scenes, and this info, a lot of cool info today! Well, that and being able to chat some on Discord! I love the fact that you take your time and really put time, effort, and energy into your game! People may complain, but when one stops and considers that this is virtually pure custom rendering, and this kind of story-telling is truly the first of it's kind done this way, outside of the horn-dogs who will never, EVER( ! ), be satisfied, 3 months for a work of this magnitude is gonna be well worth the wait! That's just MY opinion though!
