Progress Update
Added 2020-07-18 18:37:08 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
First off, I was to say thank you for all the support! I never thought I would receive this much support within the first two weeks of release.
Second off, I don't plan on abandoning this VN. I have a story I want to tell and I'm going to tell it, dammit! I'm working on Ripples full time and working hard to get you guys the next episode in a timely fashion.
Okay, so after the first release of Episode 1, I started immediately fixing bugs, correcting typo/grammar, and then working on an Android build. I now have Grammarly, proofreaders, and beta tester going forward so this should help a lot when it comes to that side of things. Those things took about 4 days and when I was finished I went straight to writing. Most of the whole story for Ripples was written before I ever created scenes for Episode 1. Not the exact dialog, but what will happen, what is discussed between characters, etc. So after finishing up the android build, I worked on finishing the writing and adding all the details in to makes sure everything is sound because, in a story like this, everything has to fit like a puzzle. If you don't take the time to put it all together, you are going to have plots holes and other problems I'm trying to avoid at all costs. So after 3-4 days of writing and making sure the story is good, I went to work on creating scenes again. Now creating my scene takes a little longer than most simple HS games because I mod in a lot of customs items. There were a lot of customs items you won't see in other games. Another thing is, I create some of the maps myself. I know we all get sick of seeing the same house or classroom. The House, the school, Krystal House, were all made in Unity and imported into HS. I also customize other people's maps to fit my story. One other thing that is custom is the animations. I don't know about you, but I am sick of seeing the same stock HS animation in every game so all the animation in my game are custom made. I know they're not the best, but I am getting better and hopefully, in the future, they will be really good.
With that being said, I have been working on Ripples every single day. I already have the first scene done and now working on scene 2 of Episode 2. Also, I have changed a couple of things that should make my images more clear and less noise. I am always working on getting better and I still have a lot to learn. I have no clue how long it will take until Episode 2 is done because I am so new to this. Probably at least a couple months, but who knows. Episode one took a long time because I would stop and learn something, then start again. Plus, I also had surgery so I forgot exactly how long episode 1 took to create, but I think everyone will really enjoy Episode two, I had fun writing it. Which is weird because I thought writing would be my least favorite part about creating a VN, but it turns out to be one of my favorites.
Thanks again for your support!

The amount of time you spend, ESPECIALLY customizing(!) is well worth the wait! Having newer locals to work with (modding up places to give more variations?! AWESOME SAUCE), some of the CLEANEST HS mods of ANY game I have played, depth of story, giving small details that may not seem like much, but make the difference between just another fuck game, and a damned good story with some racy stuff going on! You listen to criticism with an open mind, and continue to learn and work to improve yourself and your story, and what more could we ask for?! Your first release actually had a decent amount of content for a First release, actually having the entirety of the First Chapter, and THAT is impressive! Knowing that is what we can look forward to, and that you have people like myself and others to help when it comes to grammar, typos, beta-testing, and I think your community will grow, especially amongst those interested in the sci-fi and darker aspects hinted to at the end of Ch 1! I know I'm in for the long haul!
