uh oh, looks like tre has a new boyfriend... this was actually an exercise for me to see how quickly I could draw something; this one came out in half an hour or so. just a very quick sketch that I refined slightly. the results are pretty good, to me.

kody is his rival athlete from another school, but they do get along. at first it was not quite the case but over time kody's respect for him grew and grew, and turned to admiration. everyone started noticing they were spending a lot of time together... and now this. their dads have always been really good friends, but I don't think they ever went this far.

I'm always worried about the quality of my art, this past year I've developed a strong fondness for freehand sketching again, and its producing some of the best pics I've ever made imo. but then I feel a need to "refine" them, as in ink them, color them, etc. but I don't really know if that's what people want? if all my pics need to be that way or if its just a once in a blue moon thing? it's a bit exhausting...

Well, and I don't mean to be obtuse. have you tried coloring without inking? I want to stress I like your inked pieces but if it drains you this badly why not step back from it a bit?

thanks so much man, means a lot. I do think the content of my art is more important to people than the polish. most of the time I want to at least color sketches I post here, but man "inking" drains me these days. it happens more rarely

I really like the image it has a sweet organic side to it. I think if you are enjoying your sketching and you like the way it looks then you dont have to ink and color them. Just post the sketches and let us see them. If you think it is your best work then it is done. I think you have a wonderful sense of color and it adds to your work but it isn't essential. We're here for those wonderful facial designs and poses and your delightful sense of personality.

They make an adorable couple (but is there room for a third)
