this is an odd pic. I feel like this is definitely a fetish for someone too. I just had this idea to draw chip and carper stuck in a small space, fighting as they are stuck. but I didn't have any context to add to it, it was just something different for me to draw since I default to my usual pinup stuff so often. and despite that it's a bit strange, I actually really love this pic. they're very expressive, and I think it conveys their relationship really well. they're actually really close friends but they're pretty competitive. chip is very cool, collected, has EVERYTHING under control... perfect scores, extremely popular on his campus and on carper's...

while carper is capable but sorta willingly dumb, struggles academically because he hates actually putting forth the effort and just wants to play football, can be pretty wild and irresponsible. he is also of course incredibly popular, despite his poor academics girls love carper. of course, I don't mean to make it sound like chip never cuts loose, quite the opposite: he is always at parties (though doesn't drink very much) and goofs off with his buddies in the locker room just as carper can. it's just that he is supposed to be carper's parallel, but even then they have things in common.

I think this pic illustrates the duality of that really well. they're sort of opposites, but their similarities are coming out. chip keeps his composure a little more than carper but he's teetering on the edge here, about to yank him by his hair to get him to stop pushing.

who knows what happened here, I kind of imagine they were chasing something through a small space and got stuck. maybe the doggy door? both their families have dogs...
