"Thanks" (TWIABP Cover)
Added 2022-01-03 18:00:06 +0000 UTCAs a way to say thank you for subscribing (for those of you who have chosen to support me here, financially) and as a way to potentially draw in people who may be curious about this new endeavor, I am posting this cover of a song by the band I'm in. I helped to write this song, but TWIABP works as such a collaboration that it's not "my" song at all. This cover version is just that, a cover, and hopefully gives you a sense of what kinds of things I will be posting here.
My initial inspirations in constructing this version are two Brian Eno songs: "Here Come the Warm Jets" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt3rKxRvmO4) and "The Big Ship," (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Tqy6be0Juc) which both loop and shift over time in a way that for a long time has been an influence on how I like to layer melodies. The majority of what I post will not be covers, but this song says "thank you" in a way that I can't express through text. I really appreciate you listening, and I hope you'll stick around!
