Hi guys, love the podcast! I noticed Dembele listed as Toni’s pick for worst signing back in January of 2022 and was curious if he would adjust his position given the role he played on the title winning season that followed. Still not a successful signing (and he seemed very pleased to eliminate Barca from CL last year) but it feels as though Xavi’s team only really worked with him in it.

Thank you for the show! :) I have two questions in my mind: #1: Through the years I watch Barca games I see a tendency of loosing performance, precision, focus, points etc on those early time matches like Las Palmas was at 2 p.m. I understand that these athletes get their best at late hours e.g. 9 p.m., they are used to this, that is how they are conditioned. If I am right and I understand this, the team must be aware of that too. Isn't there a way to work on this aspect? #2: As I know the diffensive wall of players must be at 9 meters from the ball for a free kick. It is never like that. Mallorca game, 53rd minutes, Raffina's freekick, ball is placed 2 meters out from box edge, penalty spot is 5 meters from box edge, so the wall should have been 2 meters from the penalty spot towards the goal. But the referee's foam mark was at the penalty spot. It happens everywhere, independent of teams, leagues, events etc. Why is it not set properly, especially with today's technology? Why noone is complaining about from the attacking team? The rules are on their side. So annoying. This freekick would have been much more dangerous with the proper distances applied. Sorry, it got a big long. :)
