Post-Clásico questions...

It's Q&A week.

Anything on Barcelona's triumphant trip to Madrid? On the upcoming Catalan derby against Espanyol? On how Hansi Flick will manage all his returning midfielders? On the (now inevitable!) fallout to Monday's Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris?

Late question for this week. Classico related, so Hopefully you can carry it forward for next week. But my question/ thoughts are 1.The high line seems to dominate the discussions world wide… seems elimentary and probably laughable really..bcos it neglects actually fully appreciating just how good this Barca team is. 2. To my point, last season across both classicos Barca were arguably the better team if not for some questionable substitutions and with respect inexperienced tactical decisions by Xavi. In coaching terms and no disrespect to Xavi but Flick has a phd while Xavi is at best an undergrad. Think people forget Flick was Joachim Low’s assistant at the 2006 and actually won the WC with Germany in the same role.before following that up with a treble with Bayern. Just don’t get how people be sleeping on this guy. Do the pod think he is massively underrated? Did Ancelotti simply come against an equal and inevitably came up short. ? Counts for nothing , maybe, but we beat them in preseason as well ., and will be interesting to know but does the pod know what Flicks record against Ancelotti was when Flick was at Bayern. ? I

As good as Casado and Fermin have been do you think it is inevitable that we will have to sell one or both. When the injuries clear up we will be overbooked in midfield. We still need to bring in money and both players valued will have soared due to their impressive performances.

After Riks dig last week some further thoughts on Lewandowski. This season we have Bayern Lewandowski but we certainly didn’t have him last season or for that matter his first season. Will it last this season and what about next season? I hope his current form continues but I reckon his 4 years will cost us all in well over 150 million euros. Do you think he is worth this investment?

Oh and what about Christensen? Almost forgot about him.. can he play if he is fit or is there still an issue with his registration?

When is Ronald Araujo expected to return? Is he recovering well? I like him a lot, but with the current level of Cubarsi and Inigo, it almost feels like he could be only third choice. More so: I have some worries that he may disrupt the defence, because he is a beast and fast, but less gifted on the ball and not as strategic. What will Hansi do when he is back in the squad? Will he bench Inigo? And what would you do?

Toby Krucker

Hi Jeffrey! Rik here. I gave him an 8.5! Toni said 6 and Sam said he was somewhere between but leaning more towards Toni.. a 7. I thought those saves were vital!

What types of keepers will Barca be looking into? Tall and scary for 1v1 incase offside fails, or just very high reflex no matter 1v1 or so like Diogo Costa. Of course all must be good with their feet but which is prioritized more?

Jose D. Corea

Rik and Toni gave Iñaki a 6.5 because he didn’t do much. I rewatched the second half, and it appeared that he cold stoned Mbappe TWICE when there were no offsides?!? He should have a 7.5 at minimum! What am I missing?

Do you know if barca are monitoring any goalkeepers for next summer as pena isnt good enougn despite his good el classico performance and ter stegens levels have dropped and also has a long term injury

Do you think barca will sell torres and fati in january to try and reduce the wage bill but also mabey add another attacker for depth as i think its pretty clear fati and torres arent good enough for a team wanting to compete for the big titles
