E386: Siempre as Barca's sporting directors, year three
Added 2024-05-20 19:50:39 +0000 UTCSam, Rik and Toni sit down to go through the project for next season as if they were Barcelona's sporting directors. Always one of the most enjoyable eps of the year to put together.
Side note: We recorded this last week, shortly before the almighty kerfuffle over Xavi's future exploded. So the premise is: Xavi is the coach we are buying for.
Side note 2: Publishing this today as Toni only just back from Turin and exhausted so will record the normal Monday pod on Tues when his batteries are charged.

I would sell Frenkie, but I'd go a step further and sell Raphinha, who due to his improved form, could actually bring in some real money. For the two of them, I'd get Zubi and Nico. I'd let the Joaos go and would happily sign Xavi Simons on a transfer. I'd keep Sergi Roberto and sell Ferran - though how much he'd fetch is unclear to me. If Vitor Roque could get us serious money (>€30M), I'd sell him; otherwise I'd keep him. No arguments for the rest of your suggestions/predictions. P.S
