would there be big changes to the squad in the summer? They need to reinforce the attack and the midfield. Is it even possible with our finances. Do you see Xavi continuing after this season? If they decide to part ways, who would be the ideal replacement What’s going on with the Nike / puma situation? And any news regarding Barça studios? — SIV

2024-01-26 07:36:59 +0000 UTCA hypothetical question: (big) if Barça make it to the CL semifinal/final, will the club consider that a successful season? Will it be enough to save Xavi, you think?

2024-01-26 04:01:04 +0000 UTCDid you hear any negative feedback from the players (or their agents) due to being forced to make the trip to the US immediately after the Almeria game? How do you think decisions like that and the general state of the club’s finances impacts recruitment? Are players going to look at Barca and say I’ll wait until they sort their finances before they think of joining the club?

2024-01-26 00:07:16 +0000 UTCBarca will become the new Ajax, feeder club for the biggest clubs, playing with lot great young talents and selling them later as they will not be able to bring them to the top and compete for CL?

2024-01-25 15:34:49 +0000 UTCI just saw the highlights from the Athletic Club game; why do you think Barça keeps receiving so many early goals? Shouldn't they have learned from their earlier mistakes already?

2024-01-24 23:27:02 +0000 UTCI think following the events in the Real Madrid vs Almeria game it is all too clear why Barca were paying Negreira. It was not to buy favorable decisions but to have someone in the room to ensure you don't get screwed over by the Madrid supporting establishment the way Almeria were. As for why they were paying so much this is typical of Barca over the last decade or so who overpaid for everything under Bartomeu - transfer fees (Griezmann, Dembele, Coutinho) , player wages (Sergi Roberto!), coaches wages (Valverde!) and even social media companies to discredit your own players. In all cases Barca were paying well over the market rate and I believe this is again the case with Negreira.

2024-01-24 23:24:55 +0000 UTCAfter tonight's battering by Athletic it is clear the Xavi project is finished. As I commented before however it is unclear who could succeed him and sort things out. I maintain that I see little to be optimistic going forward as the financial mess means the recruitment required to sort things out will not be possible. the young players are the only hope but you cant field a team made up of 5-6 teenagers and expect to compete with Madrid.
