2023-09-07 17:05:22 +0000 UTCAt the start of last season I was adamant that Lewandowski was a bad signing and considering his disappointing performance last season this came true more quickly than even I thought. Giving an about to turn 35 year old striker a 4 (four!) year contract was insanity. As this season has just started we in effect are stuck with him for 3 more seasons. I cant imagine there is any reason to suspect that he will improve as he approaches 38. Will Xavi have the bravery required to drop him as seems to be urgently required?

2023-09-07 16:18:23 +0000 UTCIf Xavi insists on sticking with his 4 man midfield surely Joao Felix must start on the left instead of Gavi. Felix would bring the creativity that is missing with Gavi in this position as it clearly does not suit his skill set. Surely Felix as a more hybrid midfielder/striker than Ansu Fati could make this system work better.

They have more signings than wins under Boehly and seem like shambles. How is Rick coping in these tough times and do Sam/Toni have any siempre positivo words of motivation for Rick?
