E219: Spain held by Germany and Pep Guardiola opens the door to Barcelona
Added 2022-11-29 15:08:14 +0000 UTCSam, Rik and Toni discuss Spain's 1-1 draw with Germany at the World Cup, with Luis Enrique once more starting five Barcelona players in the game. Still no minutes in Qatar for Ansu Fati or Eric Garcia, though.
They then take a couple of questions -- on Gianni Infantino and Barça's youngsters -- before discussing Xavi's interesting comments on young Brazilian striker Endrick and Pep Guardiola's even more interesting comments at the Catalan Football Awards on Tuesday. Is he opening the door to a homecoming?

Hi guys. Another great pod. Since Toni keeps calling me referee Jørgen, instead of brilliant coach/forward Jørgen. I'll from now and forever refer to him as macho Toni, refering to his midleaged wiev on womensfootball, always tired from working so hard and is so exhhausted from watching footballToni or cant deal with his drinkingToni. What my question was about was that Pep took over one of the greatest squad in footballhistory and took in two players from the b-team. Busi and Pedro. Then he could ditch Ronaldinho and Deco and still have a great team. The buisniss with changing Zlatan for Etoo was a disaster. Then he took over the best team in Europe and didnt win the Cl. Went to City and has seemingly bottomless pockets. Har bought players on every part of the team at least twice. Owned by one of the worst countrys in the world. And still no CLtrophy. My theory is a he is not a great tactioner. Like Mourinho, Klopp and Tuchel. I believe much more in Xavi. He plays the counter when possible etc. I think that the new crop of Barcayoungsters is going to better with age. And will be om the to three in a year or two. My best regards to you and a hug to mr machoToni. You will get wiser with age. Finally; how do you eternal football authorities look on Pep vs Xavi as a big gamecoach?
