E217: Barca's Keira Walsh on Camp Nou game + World Cup latest
Added 2022-11-23 14:01:58 +0000 UTCKeira Walsh speaks about life at Barcelona, the problem with having a Manchester accent, the passion of the supporters, underrated Patri Guijarro and her excitement at playing at Camp Nou on Thursday, when Barça host Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
She was speaking to Sam and various other journalists on Tuesday.
Sam is then joined by Rik to look at how he's getting on at the World Cup. He saw Robert Lewandowski miss (another!) penalty as Poland were held by Mexico and then spoke Matty Cash and Grzegorz Krychowiak about the game.
A Q&A will follow with Sam and Toni on Friday.

How will playing at Montjuic impact on Barca finances? I think it likely they will be out of Camp Nou for longer than a single season given the nature of the extensive construction project to renovate the stadium. One of the I think overlooked effects of the palancas (particularly in the UK) is the signifanct increase in the crowds and associated revenue with the return of 'illusion' brought about by the high profile signings.

2022-11-23 17:20:02 +0000 UTCHow is Guardiola viewed now by Barca fans in Catalonia? Despite his legacy as a player and coach with his new extended contract at Man City he will be there for 9 years and looking back I feel he will be more identified as a Man City man rather than a Barca one. As a Barca fan I am a bit ambivalent about him these days as he chose to leave as coach and I didn't think he would serve so long a time at a single club after Barca.
