So any specific questions for Tim are very much encouraged -- whether on his commentaries, wider LaLiga issues or anything else! I will endeavour to answer the Barça questions (!) but if you have any specific questions for Rik and/or Toni, make it clear and they will answer a few recorded ones to feed in to the episode. (UPDATE: Tim is producing an interview with Pedri on Thursday for UEFA, so it may be interesting to hear about that side of things / Pedri off the pitch as well. Therefore, we will be recording Friday AM CET)

2022-08-17 11:13:41 +0000 UTCfor toni, why do barcelona have such a bad scouting network? i doubt alemany even knows what xg means and jordi cruyff and his trusted scout joel lara are probably the only ones who use data to buy players, barca thesedays just want to buy every other man city player for a big price but why cant we learn from them instead, make smart signings with the help of good scouts, theyll prob go and get a 23-24 year old midfielder for 30-40 who we will be trying to sign in 3 years, we shouldnt just be looking at spanish players

I understand that the team is still not a fixed entity until the window closes, but why the square peg round hole decision's re: Frenkie(double pivot cleary his strength) Araujo(clearly not a RB), and the insistence of 433 instead of a generally static 343 that allows you to field your best team? Without elite fullbacks the ball progression becomes too mechanical and slow, dare I say predictable. Plus it enables teams to smother Busquets, who frankly, needs to be supported in order to be a difference maker. Sorry for length.

Seems very much like the Braithwaite situation but looks like there's more to it. Has Denis been accused making money in Celta player sales?

Is it regarded a success overall with just Barca being a black sheep or do you think the austerity leeds to a disadvantage on the European level?
