These were written after hearing news stories of ICE agents trying to gain access to elementary schools and teachers having to stand up to them to turn them away. It is terrifying the extent to which ICE and the US government is going to fulfil their promise of mass deportations. To raid elementary schools is so incredibly low.
There is a significant suspension of due process and rights in the name of mass deportation and it happened so quickly after Trump was inaugurated. Democracy is being dismantled piece by piece in the US. As a Canadian, I look on at our neighbours to the south both in horror and with fear of when Trump will turn his unfettered power to the north.

Carrying out Executive orders
Not a moment of doubt Not an ounce of morals
With fake forged warrants they use as a tool
To follow the dictation of a fascist fool
When teachers have to turn away men
With big letter jackets, who pretend to defend
