WIP Lyrics - This is G*n*c*de
Added 2025-02-14 18:11:17 +0000 UTCThis is a set of lyrics to which we do not have the music composed yet. They are obviously in reference to what is currently occurring in Gaza. The UN Special Committee as well as numerous independent human rights organizations (including Amnesty International) have labelled what is happening in Gaza a g*n*c*de and yet, very little real action has been taken.
I have an idea for a guitar hook and what will likely be the riff for the verses, but it's nowhere near complete. I wrote these lyrics a while back, but have not done anything with them yet.
The structure is also not set. I believe the first two sections would make up the lyrics for the chorus, but have not decided what will make up verses/pre-chorus/bridge.

There's an aid blockade

Free Palestine

History is set. So we learn the ought not

Targets on the backs of Palestinian children
Doctors and nurses buried under the rubble
What did the sick have to do with your "trouble"?
Not a single school is left to attend
This is so far gone from a claim of defence
Bomb the north so they're forced to flee south
Block all the exits Then gun them all down
The West provides arms, and closes their eyes
To a people oppressed, their land occupied
This is not war. It's eradication
An effort to destroy a whole population
