I think it just comes to an affordable big brand watch are, and for sure Seiko is right up there. You could argue that at least the majority of none watch people have heard of Seiko, but San Martin or Cronos just do not carry the same amount of respect or weight as the Seiko name. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying these Chinese companies are producing rubbish watches, far from it, but they are just not as well know. I love both Seiko and Casio, so maybe a bit more of both please Gary, at least once in a while.

There's a definite move away from AliExpress watches. Reviewers who were exclusively AliExpress are now including more "real" watches, I think because they see a change coming. All the drama of recent weeks revolves around AliExpress content. Seiko content is a breath of fresh air, I'm not surprised it's popular.
