I was raised in the conservative Anabaptist tradition, and am recently (@ age45) diagnosed Autistic/ADHD (Autism is new, ADHD I've known for a while). The performance based aspects of conservative Anabaptism during my pre college life combined with my neurodiversity make rules and strict guidelines very comfortable. "Just tell me how to live and what to do." Your conversation did a good job of putting into words the struggles I have and do experience making my faith my own and raising my kids in the faith.
