The Acts Flyover is Over and Now We're Over to Galatians

This week marks the end of the table setting and the beginning of the actual text of Galatians. Fun!

The Acts Flyover is Over and Now We're Over to Galatians

I'd like to push back on the idea that Paul on the road to Damascus is the number two most shared story in the Bible. We get it in narrative form 3 times (Acts 9, 22, and 26). That puts it ahead of David and Goliath or Noah' ark (in number of mentions if not total word count) but in a tie for every story about Jesus that is described in all 3 synoptics. It would be behind everything in the synoptics that is repeated by Paul or John (e.g. the feeding of the 5000, the Baptism of Jesus, the last supper). The commission of the disciples to go to all nations is described 5 times (all 4 gospels plus the beginning of Acts) and then repeated throughout Acts and the rest of the NT. God creating the world is described in Gen 1, Gen 2, shows up at the end of Job,is mentioned in John 1 and in Paul's sermon at Mars Hill, plus a bunch of other places I'm forgetting. The Exodus/God parting the Sea gets a ton of screen time in the Bible, both in terms of the words used in the primary narrative and in the number of times it gets mentioned later. This seems more like the defeat of Og and Sihon, which is described in narrative form a couple of times but then shows up another dozen times in the OT.

044 but what if we just want God to just be present in this place and just bless us, Lord, with just his presence, Lord, and just let us be honoring to his name and just be glorified in our time together? I don’t understand, that could be Psalm 151 dude.
