But it's not exhausting, because it all makes sense and it's going somewhere. We took a huge chunk out of that book last week, and we'll take another huge chunk this week. Galatians is going to pop against the backdrop of Ezra/Nehemiah and an overview of Acts.

So did Saul have a choice in taking the job God had chosen for him? I think of it like when Peter said, "Lord, to whom should we go? You have the words of eternal life." Presented with the facts with spiritual vision restored it's a "no brainer". I think that even before the Damascus Road experience Paul, with his vast knowledge of the Old Testament, already suspected that he had picked the wrong side: he was finding it hard to kick against the spikes.
