This has already been the most fruitful journey through the Old Testament I've ever experienced, but it's not because of anything I've done or I know, it's because of the way this format forces me to consume so much Bible at once attentively and with an eye for connections and structure. I'm discovering I have even more to learn about The Bible than I thought, and looking at the Old Testament this way is having an effect on my process of faith that's probably a bit too complicated to express in a patreon post. The simple way to put it is that this has been a joy, and very meaningful in ways that go far beyond literary analysis or learning a few more details about a story I've heard before.
I hope good things are coming out of it for you too.
We'll be looking at all or part of the three prequel/sequel Old Testament books this week. I've worked quite a ways ahead on this series, so I can tell you this is a fun and interesting week with meaningful payoffs.
