Why would Judas do that?
Added 2022-06-06 05:10:02 +0000 UTCThis is knowable, but it's fun to consider all the angles to get deeper into the story.
Also, another bonus episode coming up this week.

I'm convinced that there is Old Testament symbolism threaded throughout the Gospels. At the intersection of Judas' betrayal of Christ and the price that was paid to him, Matt what do you make of the significance of thirty shekels? that specific amount was mentioned twice in the Old Testament: once for the price of a slave, and once for the price of a woman. (Deuteronomy 21 and Leviticus 27) Maybe that was a backhanded commentary from the Pharisees on their valuation of Jesus?
