Week 26 gets even more personal...
Added 2020-04-20 03:50:50 +0000 UTC...because Jesus keeps getting more and more in our business as the Sermon on the Mount goes along. We've got more than a chapter to go with this tone from the text and this level of intensity, then we get back to some history/big-picture stuff.
I'm having so much fun processing this together, and thanks for supporting this kind of Internetting.

"If God Already Knows What's Going to Happen, Why Pray?" A question I ask many times. :) I think I agree with you Matt. Well, I also think that God wants a relationship with us. And talking is usually involved in relationships. Much to my chagrin. :) But beyond that, I think prayer is more to shape us. I have internal dialog, with other people. Ussly people I don't personally know, but know enough about them to create a persona that can respond to a question or viewpoint. I don't think I'm alone in this. Then again, I have no friends so... :) But, I do this to think about topics. To bounce ideas off of myself from a different viewpoint. And to win arguments that I'd probably wouldn't win in real life. :) And I am starting to think that that is what prayer kinda is. Not talking to one self nor winning arguments. But forcing us to think about life, not through our earthly eyes, but to think about it in terms of the "upside down kingdom". And to remind us that God is in control . And to remind us that.
