[Conf Call] Laid Off

I officially got laid off last week. I was notified in July so that I could pursue internal opportunities, but nothing panned out, so... yeah. I was hoping not to be in this situation (again), but that's life, I guess. I would ask if anyone is hiring a software engineer, but I feel like my lackluster performance of late isn't exactly the most confidence-inspiring display.
In theory, I'll have more time to write, but my mind is such an utter wasteland from anxiety that putting pen to paper feels like an enormous undertaking. It's made my already loud sense of self-doubt damn near deafening.
Anyway, I produced nothing this month, so I'll be on pause again.

You probably need to rest and recover for the creative juices to flow. Self-care isn't an overnight or one time thing, after all. If you're burning yourself out doing a job you hate, that'll consume the spoons you need for writing. (Found THAT out the hard way too many times...)
