Chapter 81 Uchiha Shin

Renjiro’s voice was calm, as he replied: "You’re right. Normally, I wouldn’t. But this time, I have a reason—I need your help."
Orochimaru licked his lips, his eyes gleamed with curiosity: "I don’t know why you’re so confident that I’ll help you… but I’m intrigued. So, go on and tell me."
Renjiro’s gaze sharpened, as he continued: "I heard about one of your experiments… about the boy with the special body. The one who was born with a rare genetic condition that lets him accept any transplant—organs, tissues—without rejection."
He was talking about Uchiha Shin, a character introduced in Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, which takes place between the end of Naruto Shippuden and the start of Boruto.
Shin was originally one of Orochimaru’s test subjects. He had a rare genetic trait that allowed his body to accept any transplanted tissue or organ without rejection, making him the perfect candidate for dangerous experiments.
Because of this, Orochimaru implanted multiple Sharingan into Shin placing them on his head, arms, and even replacing his original eyes.
Shin’s exact birth date is never mentioned in the manga, databooks, or anime.
However, since he was already an adult test subject during the time Orochimaru went rogue (after the Third Shinobi World War and before Naruto’s birth), it suggests he was born many years earlier.
This places him in the same general generation as older shinobi like Yamato or possibly even earlier. Based on this, Renjiro estimated Shin’s age to be around fifteen years old, or close to it.
Of course, no one in the outside world knew about Shin, because Orochimaru had hidden his existence carefully.
The only reason Renjiro knew was because he had seen the original Boruto storyline, and from that he guessed Orochimaru had already begun experimenting on Shin’s body.
At Renjiro’s words, Orochimaru’s expression flickered for the briefest moment. Though he quickly masked it, Renjiro noticed.
Feigning ignorance, Orochimaru sneered and said: "I don’t know what you’re talking about. And even if it were true, why should I help you?"
Renjiro shook his head, and said calmly: "Please. Let’s not waste time with games. You and I both know you’re good at keeping secrets, but if I came here, it means I already know enough. I wouldn’t risk approaching you without solid proof."
Orochimaru studied him with a cold, unblinking stare. At last, his lips twisted into a strange, sinister smile: "Then I must admit I’m curious… where exactly did you learn of this? Only a handful of people know about that experiment—and none of them are the type to talk."
Renjiro remained calm: "Where I learned it doesn’t matter. What matters is what I want: some of the subject’s tissue—and more importantly… his eyes."
Orochimaru’s pupils narrowed to slits. The request wasn’t just bold, it was outrageous.
Tissues, perhaps, were negotiable. But the boy’s eyes? That was on an entirely different level.
More than anger, Orochimaru felt a gnawing curiosity. Why? What could Renjiro possibly need Shin’s eyes for?
"Impossible." Orochimaru hissed, and directly refused.
Renjiro only gave a faint smile: "Naturally, I don’t expect them for free. Here… this should be more than enough compensation."
Whoosh!
From within his robes, Renjiro pulled out a scroll and tossed it across the room.
Orochimaru caught it effortlessly, unrolled it, and began to read. The further his eyes scanned the text, the more his expression hardened, his golden irises narrowed dangerously.
When he finally reached the end, he snapped the scroll shut with a sharp crack and fixed Renjiro with a piercing stare: "This information… is it real?"
Renjiro gave a faint smile, and said calmly: "With your intellect, do you really need me to confirm it?"
Orochimaru’s tongue flicked across his lips, his eyes gleamed with obsession: "I must admit… this even surprises me. But tell me, Renjiro—where did you learn all this? And how do you know so much… about me?"
Renjiro’s voice turned cool: "That’s not something you need to know."
Orochimaru’s tone dropped, sharp as a blade: "I’m afraid I’ll have to insist."
Renjiro’s expression darkened, his eyes narrowed: "You seem awfully confident in your strength, Orochimaru.”
"Hahaha!" Orochimaru’s sharp laugh echoed through the valley. His golden eyes gleamed with malice: "And why shouldn’t I be confident? They call you the second Yellow Flash… but I’ve always wondered—does that title truly belong to you?"
Renjiro’s eyes narrowed, a spark of irritation broke through his calm: "Don’t compare me to anyone. I am not Minato Namikaze’s replacement. I am Renjiro Takane."
Orochimaru’s smile widened into something feral.
"Then prove it to me!" He hissed.
Whoosh!
His neck shot forward, elongating like a serpent striking its prey, darting straight for Renjiro.
Crrrkk! Whoosh!
Renjiro’s form blurred into motion, his voice cut through the clash: "You want to test speed against me?"
Fushhh!
In a flash, he vanished, reappearing right at Orochimaru’s stretched neck. Steel glinted in the dim light as his blade swept clean through, severing head from body in one fluid strike.
But Orochimaru would never fall so easily.
Whoosh!
A grotesque sound filled the room as the corpse’s mouth split wide open, jaws distorting unnaturally. From within, another Orochimaru slithered out, reborn and unharmed, as if shedding old skin.
Renjiro grimaced, his lip curled in disgust: "Tch… your Jutsu are as disgusting as ever. Crawling out of your own mouth? It's revolting."
Orochimaru’s lips curled into a dark smile: "Remarkable speed, Renjiro-kun… it reminds me of both the Fourth Hokage and the Fourth Raikage. But you are right about one thing—times change. Perhaps… you are the fastest now."
Renjiro’s eyes burned with unwavering confidence: "Not perhaps. It’s a fact. Minato, the Raikage they’re history. Right now, there’s only one fastest shinobi alive… and that’s me."
Orochimaru chuckled softly, his tone filled with amusement: "Bold words. But I must admit… I like that arrogance."
Renjiro’s gaze sharpened like a drawn blade: "Too bad I can’t say the same. I hate almost everything about you."
Crrrkk! Whoosh!
Lightning Flash!
A blinding streak of lightning exploded from Renjiro’s body—sparks racing across the battlefield before vanishing in the blink of an eye.
Boom!
Orochimaru responded instantly, slamming his palms to the ground as his mouth split open unnaturally wide.
Ten Thousand Snakes Wave Jutsu!
Hissss! Hissss!
From the gaping darkness within, an endless torrent of serpents poured out, writhing and hissing as they spread across the valley. In moments, the ground itself seemed alive, a churning sea of scales and fangs, threatening to swallow everything whole.
Facing the endless swarm of serpents, Renjiro was forced to reveal himself. The moment he stepped into view, he realized he was only a few steps away from Orochimaru.
"You think a nest of snakes can stop me?" Renjiro sneered.
In the next instant, lightning erupted from his body.
CRRRKK! CRRRKK!
Lightning Domain!
BOOM! BOOM! CRRRKK!
A devastating storm of electricity exploded outward in a full 360-degree sweep. The valley shook under the violent surge as serpents were annihilated by the thousands, their charred bodies collapsing into ash. But Orochimaru, standing very close, was also caught within the storm’s fury.
Whoosh!
The lightning storm faded, leaving smoke and scorched earth in its wake.
Renjiro did not hesitate. He stepped forward, his blade Thunder Fang gleamed as it traced a flawless arc through the air.
Shhhk!
Once again, Orochimaru’s head was severed from his body.
"Damn it!" Renjiro growled angrily.
But Orochimaru was nothing if not persistent. Almost at once, Renjiro realized what he had cut down was no more than a discarded husk—an empty shell left behind by the Orochi Substitution Jutsu.
Renjiro scoffed helplessly in his heart: "Whether it’s you or Kabuto later on… this slippery trick of shedding bodies is as disgusting as it is troublesome."
Mind Net!
Renjiro unleashed his sensory ability, threads of awareness spreading in all directions. In an instant, he locked onto Orochimaru’s true body.
"So… hiding beneath me for a sneak attack?"
Sure enough, Orochimaru was directly under his feet.
Body Stimulation Mode!
Crrrkk! Crrrkk!
Lightning crackled violently across Renjiro’s body as he entered his enhanced state. His muscles surged with power, his aura started blazing.
"Speed is power." He said with unshakable confidence.
Whoosh! Crrrkk!
Renjiro shot high into the air, then came crashing down like a thunderbolt.
BOOM!
The earth split apart, collapsing under the sheer force of the impact. But to Renjiro’s surprise, Orochimaru barely flinched. His body, reshaped into something serpentine and soft, absorbed the blow with unnerving resilience.
Renjiro’s eyes narrowed: "So you can still take a hit, huh? Good. Then this is the perfect chance to test a new technique I’ve been developing with Arkain."
Crrrkk! Crrrkk!
He tightened his grip on Thunder Fang, lightning screaming around him.
"Rokushiki Derivative—Raizui!"
