Chapter 79 Two Years Later

“The first ability is Magnetism… and the second is—”

Fwoosh!

Renjiro’s eyes widened as the air twisted around him. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared, only to reappear inside his laboratory.

“This… this is Space Teleportation!”

Fwoosh!

Again, space warped. Renjiro vanished and instantly reappeared back in his training chamber.

“I can move to any place I’ve already been… as long as I can picture it clearly in my mind.” He muttered to himself, then gave a command:

“Arkain, create a new, full map of the entire Shinobi World. Make it detailed and three-dimensional. I’ll reconstruct the whole continent.”

[Beep! Mission confirmed. Connecting to Database… Retrieving Data… Generating Map…]

“Next, set up a permanent project called Space-Time Ninjutsu. Record all my experiments with teleportation and dimensional travel. Use the spatial theory from the library to help me develop stronger Space-Time techniques.”

To be honest, Renjiro wasn’t completely satisfied. Compared to Obito’s Kamui, his new eye ability felt limited, it could only teleport him from place to place.

Still, even that power alone was enough to make him stronger than most shinobi. But Renjiro’s ambition was far greater. He wanted to stand at the very top, so he refused to settle for less.

Renjiro didn’t desire anything as extreme as Kaguya Ōtsutsuki’s power over multiple dimensions, which let her travel through entirely separate worlds.

These weren’t like Obito’s Kamui space or other Space–Time Jutsu, they were completely independent realities that only she could enter and control.

All Renjiro wanted was something more balanced, like Obito’s Kamui: an ability that combined instant teleportation with the use of a personal pocket dimension. For him, that would be enough.

After finishing the tests of his Mangekyo Sharingan abilities, Renjiro returned to his lab. His work was far from over.

“Next… it’s your turn.”

He set a small box on the table and opened it. Inside rested the Star—a fragment of a meteorite that had once fallen from the outer space.

Yes… the very same meteorite that became the core of Hoshigakure’s forbidden training.

This strange object could grant incredible chakra power to anyone who withstood its influence, though at a terrible cost to the body.

Renjiro’s eyes lit up with anticipation. Records spoke of shinobi who, after training with the Star, gained abilities far beyond ordinary limits.

This was no simple relic. It was a dangerous key—one that, if used properly, could open the path to greater power.

“Arkain, start a new project.” Renjiro commanded silently: “Main focus: The Star. Sub-projects: radiation adaptation, chakra amplification, and experimental training methods.”

[Beep! Project files created. Connecting to library… Initializing…]

“Good.” Renjiro muttered: “Let’s begin. It’s time to uncover the Star’s true potential.”

With Arkain’s support, he threw himself back into research.

Two Years Later

The seasons turned, and two years quietly passed.

Back then, Konoha had signed a peace treaty with Kumogakure, finally ending their war. The Shinobi World entered a rare period of calm and peace.

Near the end of that same year, the Hyūga Affair unfolded exactly as expected. But Renjiro, absorbed in his research and unconnected to the Hyūga clan, barely paid attention. By the time he looked up, the crisis had already ended.

So, he returned to his true focus—his studies on the Star.

After two years of relentless effort, the results were… complicated. On paper, the progress was immense.

In practice, his strength had not skyrocketed as he had hoped. Yet if one looked beyond the present and into the future—his breakthroughs were groundbreaking.

In essence, Renjiro was already moving toward the level of an Ōtsutsuki.

He had fused the powers of both Senju and Uchiha, but not by following the usual path of transformation.

Instead, with Arkain’s bio-computational support, he carefully integrated the superior Ōtsutsuki traits hidden within Hashirama’s Cells and the Uchiha’s Sharingan, gradually reshaping his body to match their potential.

He wasn’t merely turning into an Ōtsutsuki, he was forging something new. A bloodline of his own, born from their legacy yet different, unique to him alone.

With his genetics aligned to the heights of Ōtsutsuki power, the path ahead became clear. Once he amassed enough strength, he could awaken the Rinnegan.

In fact, if he could gather all the Tailed Beasts, then perhaps… he could rise as the next Sage of Six Paths.

If he wished, he could follow Kaguya or Madara’s path—casting the Infinite Tsukuyomi and commanding godlike might.

Simply put: with Senju and Uchiha powers, with Arkain’s computations, and with the Star chakra fragment—Renjiro’s road to the peak of existence had already been laid.

Konoha, Year 53

Two years had passed since the wars ended. The entire Shinobi World was still deep in recovery.

At Konoha’s main gate—

Renjiro walked calmly from the distance. He wore a dark-blue kimono with a crimson haori draped over it.

His short, ear-length hair framed his sharp yet gentle features, giving him a warm, striking presence. His right hand rested inside his robe, as his steps were steady and unhurried.

Though he appeared lightly dressed, his arrival sent ripples through the village gates.

The first to notice him was a man in his thirties. At first, it was just a flicker of familiarity, but when he looked again and confirmed, his whole body shook. He rubbed his eyes once, twice—and when he was certain, his voice burst out like thunder.

“It’s him! Lord Renjiro! The Lightning Flash, Takane Renjiro is back!”

His cry froze the gate in silence for a heartbeat. Then, like a volcano erupting, the place exploded with noise.

Men, women, children, shinobi, and civilians alike—all eyes turned toward Renjiro. Excitement surged from one person to another until the entire crowd roared in wild admiration.

Whooo! Whooo!

The uproar was so sudden and intense that even the guards at the gate nearly raised the alarm, mistaking the noise for an attack.

Fortunately, the squad on duty was led by seasoned veterans, and the misunderstanding was quickly avoided.

Even so, the captain of the watch could only look helplessly at the younger shinobi under his command.

They were struggling to contain their excitement, their eyes shining with awe. He couldn’t fault them, his own heart trembled at the sound of that name: Takane Renjiro.

---

By noon, Renjiro arrived at his old home.

Inside, Meri had already laid out a lavish meal, waiting patiently for his return.

This time, he hadn’t tried to surprise her. Things had changed—Meri and his comrades were no longer the same as in years past.

Tsugami now served as the chief instructor of the Inuzuka clan, responsible for training new members.

Maemon had risen to become Shikaku’s most trusted aide, helping him handle affairs of every kind.

Meri herself, despite being a woman in a world that often underestimated them, now commanded her own squad. Among Konoha’s younger kunoichi, she was admired as a role model.

When Renjiro stepped inside, he found her busy in the kitchen. The sight struck him deeply.

Three years had passed since they last met. Though he had written her letters from time to time, his endless research had kept him away from the village.

Now, watching her preparing a meal for him, warmth filled his heart.

"So, this… this is what it means to have a home." Renjiro thought as he gazed at her back.

Whoosh!

He smiled softly. In an instant, he appeared behind her, and without a word, wrapped his arms around her slender waist.

“I’m back.” He whispered gently.

Meri froze at the sudden embrace. But the moment she heard his voice, her body trembled—and tears welled in her eyes.

“Welcome home.” She answered softly, her voice was shaking as tears spilled down her cheeks.
