Chapter 64 The Nine-Tails Attack [Part III]

This was the true power of Renjiro’s new Jutsu.

It was a forbidden technique he created using Natural Chakra, not refined like Naruto’s Sage Mode, which focused on sensing and balance.

Renjiro threw all that away. He kept only the raw, overwhelming power. By combining it with his Lightning Body Stimulation technique, he turned himself into a one-man wrecking machine.

This Jutsu had one purpose: destroy everything in its path with brute force.

BOOM!

And it did exactly that.

The Nine-Tails staggered from the hit. Just as it tried to counterattack—

BOOM!

An explosion blasted right at the center of its forehead, shaking the entire battlefield. Half the area was torn apart.

But even that wasn’t enough.

"ROAR!"

The Nine-Tails growled in rage as it stood up from the crater, blood and fury in its eyes. It scanned the field—no sign of Renjiro.

Thud! Boom!

Its tail was suddenly yanked back hard.

“Roar?!”

Before it could react, Kyuubi was thrown into the air.

“Tch. I’m right behind you, you dumb fox.”

Renjiro’s voice rang out, and in the blink of an eye—

CRRRK! BOOM!

He appeared mid-air and smashed into the Nine-Tails with a brutal kick, launching it even farther across the field.

BOOM!

The Kyuubi was sent flying, smashing through trees and hills until it crashed into a distant mountain range, vanishing beneath a wave of rubble.

“Three kilometers…” A stunned Konoha shinobi whispered in disbelief: “No… closer to ten!”

ROAR!

BOOM!

The Kyuubi howled in fury, shaking the ground as it tore free from the mountain. Wild, burning chakra poured from its body like a storm.

ROAR!

Fueled by rage, the beast charged straight at Renjiro, fire blazing behind its raised claws.

Ahead of it, Renjiro stood alone at the edge of the scorched forest.

“ROOOOAR!!”

SWOOSH! WHOOSH!

The Kyuubi lunged with all its might. As it slashed down, the air itself split apart like a typhoon. The shockwave shredded the earth beneath them.

BOOM!

Its massive claw landed directly where Renjiro had been standing. The forest around the impact zone was obliterated—flattened in a shockwave that spread over 100 meters.

ROAR!

The Kyuubi roared in savage triumph.

But then—

“You’re celebrating too early.” Renjiro’s voice rang out, calm and sharp.

Before the Nine-Tails could even move.

CRRRKK!

BOOM!

Another explosive strike slammed into the Kyuubi’s face, launching the beast backward like a rocket.

CRRRKK! BOOM!

Before it could even stop spinning, Renjiro appeared directly in front of it mid-air and delivered a brutal punch to the snout, sending the beast flying again.

CRRRKK! BOOM!

And he didn’t stop. Renjiro gave the Kyuubi no time to breathe, no moment to recover. He followed up with another devastating punch, then another, and another.

From a distance, the scene almost looked absurd, a colossal, terrifying fox being batted around the sky like a helpless ball, chased by bolts of blue lightning.

Each time the Kyuubi tried to steady itself, Renjiro was already there waiting. Striking. Vanishing. Reappearing.

Though the Nine-Tails was vastly stronger in raw power, Renjiro’s Thunder God Mode was a force beyond logic. His speed was so extreme, so unpredictable, that even the Kyuubi’s sharpened instincts couldn’t anticipate where he’d strike next.

CRRRKK! BOOM!

Another punch. Another flash of lightning tore across the stormy sky.

Crrrkk! Whoosh!

And then—Renjiro appeared high above the Kyuubi, hovering in the air, his body glowing with violent, electric energy.

He drew his blade in one fluid motion. Natural Chakra surged into the blade, making it blaze with a brilliant blue-white light.

Without hesitation, he slashed downward, aimed directly at the Kyuubi.

Thunder God Crescent Slash!!

CRRRKK! WHOOSH!

A massive arc of energy—shaped like a luminous crescent moon made of pure lightning descended from the heavens like divine wrath. It struck the Kyuubi with unrelenting force and slammed into the earth.

BOOOOM!!

The shockwave was cataclysmic. The ground heaved as if a massive earthquake had torn through the land. Forests were flattened, and the skies lit up in blinding flashes.

As the dust began to settle, the true extent of the devastation became clear, a deep, thousand-meter-long canyon now scarred the battlefield, carved clean through the forest.

And at its jagged edge… Renjiro landed silently, one knee down, his cloak fluttering in the wind.

“Ahh… ahh…”

His chest heaved. The final attack had drained almost all of his remaining chakra. The brilliant lightning that once danced around him now flickered weakly, a dying echo of his Thunder God Mode.

“That move…” He muttered between breaths, voice was low and grim: “It cut my time in Thunder God Mode in half…”

He glanced down into the smoking abyss, with sharp but weary eyes: “Thunder God Crescent Slash… it should’ve done serious damage to the Kyuubi.”

But he was wrong.

“ROOOOAR!!”

The ground trembled violently. Cracks split the canyon walls as a monstrous chakra surged upward like a tidal wave of hatred and destruction.

The sky already scorched red deepened to a darker, bloodier hue.

From the depths of the canyon, the Kyuubi rose, more furious than ever. Its malevolent chakra poured out in waves, shaking the air with murderous intent.

At that moment, all of its rage, all of its hate—was focused entirely on one man, Renjiro.

Its jaws opened, blue and red chakra balls started gathering.

Tailed Beast Bomb!

WHOOSH—BOOM!!

And in the very next instant—the Tailed Beast Bomb launched skyward like a comet of pure destruction, annihilating everything in its path.

Instantly, the spot where Renjiro had just been standing… was completely obliterated.

---

Back in the village, the Third Hokage had just finished coordinating the post-battle efforts. But a deep unease gnawed at him, Renjiro was still out there, facing the Nine-Tails alone.

Without hesitation, he took two ANBU and rushed toward the battlefield.

They arrived just in time to witness it all Renjiro’s Thunder God Crescent Slash splitting the sky… and then the Tailed Beast Bomb crashing down upon him.

“Not good!” The Third shouted, alarm etched across his face. Clutching his adamantine staff, he surged forward to intervene.

BOOM!

Before he could take a single step, the ground beneath them trembled violently.

“ROAR!!”

A massive blood-red claw tore through the shattered canyon floor, sinking into solid rock. The Nine-Tails dragged itself out of the depths, its chakra was still raging wildly. With a guttural, bone-shaking roar, it declared its triumph.

It was celebrating.

Not just freedom from its seal, but what it believed was the death of its most dangerous enemy he has faced after breaking free from the seal.

But then—

Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld!

A sudden flare of white-blue chakra flames ignited behind the beast. A figure appeared, mid-Jutsu—Renjiro, still alive, and his hands was already forming the final seal.

Whoosh!

In the blink of an eye, the ground beneath the Nine-Tails transformed into thick, swirling mud. Caught completely off guard, the monster’s legs were instantly dragged downward.

“ROAR!!”

The Nine-Tails thrashed in rage, sinking fast.

The Kyuubi howled and thrashed violently but the mire trapping it wasn’t any ordinary Earth Release Jutsu.

This was a Sage Technique, fueled by Natural Chakra.

And for the first time, the Nine-Tails felt truly restrained. Its monstrous limbs sank deeper into the churning swamp, its chakra flaring wildly—yet unable to break free.

“Now’s our chance!” The Third Hokage shouted, surging forward—only for a sharp, familiar pain to shoot through his side.

“Gahh—!”

He collapsed to one knee, clutching his old wound. The two Anbu beside him reached out in alarm, their eyes wide with panic.

But then, cutting through the chaos—

Chidori!

Chhrrpp! Chhrrpp!

The crackle of a thousand birds filled the air. Blue lightning gathered in Renjiro’s right hand, illuminating the battlefield in flickering sparks.

“That’s… Chidori!” Hiruzen gasped. He already knew about the arrangement between Renjiro and Kakashi, so seeing Chidori appear in Renjiro’s hand didn’t come as a surprise.

But this was something else entirely.

Chhrrpp!

The lightning didn’t stop at Renjiro’s hand. It surged up his arm like living fire crawling across his chest, shoulders, and back. Within seconds, his entire upper body blazed with raw, untamed electricity.

Renjiro had become a living Chidori.

His Thunder God Mode, fused now with Natural Chakra and Lightning Release, created a terrifying synergy. His very form pulsed with condensed energy, unstable, overwhelming, and beautiful.

Renjiro channeled every last drop of his strength into the strike. There was no hesitation, no reserve. This was his final blow, meant to end it all.

Whether he stopped the Kyuubi or fell trying it all came down to this moment.

Renjiro gritted his teeth, trying to compress the volatile energy back into his hand. If he could concentrate it into a single, focused point, the strike would be far more lethal.

“Damn it!”

But it was no use. The surge of chakra was too massive, too unstable. It refused to be tamed. The lightning had grown wild and too powerful to control any further.

“ROAR!!”

Sensing the overwhelming danger, the Kyuubi ceased struggling. Instead, its mouth opened wide within the rift, beginning to form another Tailed Beast Bomb.

It knew just like everyone else this would be the final clash.

“This is it.” Hiruzen whispered, eyes narrowed: “The battle will be decided in a single blow… Whether he succeeds or fails, we must protect Renjiro.”

The old Hokage had already made his choice. If it came to it, he would give his life. A prodigy like Renjiro could not be lost here.

“TAKE THIS!!” Renjiro roared.

The lightning that surrounded him had gone beyond Chidori—it had evolved into something far greater, something primal, powerful, and lethal.

“DIE!!”

CRRRKK!!

He launched forward like a thunderbolt unleashed from the space.

Thunder cracked. The storm parted. And Renjiro, now a streak of living lightning, raced through the sky—straight toward Kyuubi.

Chidori—Thunder God Assault!!

Like divine judgment from the heavens, Renjiro’s strike split the storm. The sky lit up with searing brilliance—driving back the darkness, if only for a fleeting moment.

It wasn’t just lightning anymore. It was retribution. A storm forged to purge evil, to pierce the shadows, and to remind the world that even monsters can bleed.

But the Nine-Tails didn’t flinch. It had never known fear and it wasn’t about to start now. No matter how fierce Renjiro’s lightning became, Kyuubi would not retreat.

BOOM! WHOOSH!

The Tailed Beast Bomb was complete. A swirling orb of destruction surged forward once again.

And this time… it met its match.

Thunder met annihilation! Lightning clashed with light!

BOOM!! BOOM!!

The battlefield trembled as the two colossal forces collided, unleashing waves of shock and fury. Trees were uprooted. Mountains cracked. The sky screamed.

This was a war between gods, but neither side yielded or relented.

“ROOOAR!!”

The Kyuubi howled in rage, pouring even more chakra into the bomb, forcing it forward with sheer hatred.

CRRRKK!!

“JUST STAY DOWN ALREADY!!” Renjiro roared back, his body glowing like a star collapsing into itself. The thunder around him howled, almost answering his will.

And then finally it happened.

The pressure behind the Tailed Beast Bomb began to break!

“He’s doing it…” Hiruzen whispered, hope stirring in his chest.

And then, as the blast began to collapse—

“He succeeded!” The old Hokage exhaled with a wide, trembling smile.

Swish!

But Hiruzen's smile froze the moment it formed.

Renjiro’s eyes shot wide open—he didn’t need his senses to know it.

Someone had appeared behind him.

[Warning! Warning! Incoming Attack from Behind!]

Arkain’s voice blared inside his head like a malfunctioning siren.

In that instant, through his enhanced sensory field, Renjiro locked onto the intruder’s presence.

And what he sensed sent a chill down his spine, Uchiha Obito.

“Damn it…! How is he here?!” Renjiro’s thoughts raced.

Obito was supposed to be fighting Minato. Based on everything Renjiro knew, he shouldn’t have been able to escape. In raw power, speed, and technique, Minato outclassed him. The only reason Obito was ever a threat… was because of his space-time Dojutsu.

And Renjiro had been right, Obito had already lost control of the Nine-Tails. Minato had defeated him, nearly capturing him outright.

But Renjiro had miscalculated one critical variable, himself. His presence and his interference to stop Kyuubi had caused a butterfly effect in the timeline.

The story had changed.

“Takane Renjiro…” Obito’s voice echoed from behind, cold and deliberate: “The Lightning Flash of Konoha. You’re too dangerous to be left alive.”

“So… die here.”

Swish!

A swirling distortion opened in the air behind Renjiro—a pitch-black vortex pulling at reality itself. His body began to twist, space warping unnaturally around him.

It was Obito’s space-time dōjutsu, Kamui.

“Die!!” Obito roared.

But Renjiro wasn’t the type to die quietly.

“Even if I can’t stop the Kyuubi today…” He growled, voice trembling with fury: “I’ll make sure you go down with me!”

His eyes burned—not with fear, but with savage determination.

CRRRKK!!

Without hesitation, Renjiro abandoned the clash with the Tailed Beast Bomb. He ripped every last shred of power from his Thunder God Assault—and redirected it.

Not at the Nine-Tails, but at Obito.

BOOM!!

In a blinding flash of lightning, the entire attack slammed into Renjiro’s own body—dragging him through the vortex.

Everything went dark. But just before unconsciousness took him, one sound reached his ears:

“IZANAGI!!”

It was Obito’s voice filled with panic and desperation.

Renjiro’s last thought echoed in the fading static of his mind: “I… I almost had him.”
