Chapter 63 The Nine-Tails Attack [Part II] Forbidden Technique – Thunder God Mode

In a quiet training ground deep in Konoha’s forest, the younger generation had all gathered—Kakashi, Guy, Asuma, Kurenai, and others. But for Renjiro, the most important ones there were Meri, Maemon, and Tsugami.

“Phew…”

Seeing them safe and together, he quietly let out a breath of relief.

Then—

Whoosh!

Crackle!

Without showing himself, Renjiro disappeared into the shadows. The only sign he had been there was a faint flash of static lightning, just enough for the sharp-eyed Kakashi and Kurenai’s father to sense something.

---

Elsewhere in the village, on the battlefield with the Nine-Tails.

Hiruzen was leading the ninja forces in a brutal, desperate fight. They had finally managed to push the Nine-Tails out of the village, but things were still looking very grim.

Even though Hiruzen was a legendary ninja, age had caught up with him. The battle was too much for his worn-out body. He dropped to his knees, barely able to stay conscious.

“Sandaime-sama!” A shinobi nearby rushed to support him.

Hiruzen clenched his jaw, struggling to breathe: “That monster… we have to stop it. We can’t let it destroy the village.”

The Nine-Tails was already charging another Tailed Beast Bomb—this time, there was no Minato to stop it. If it hit, the entire village could be destroyed in seconds.

“Damn it, where is Minato?!” Hiruzen cried out in panic—

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him.

“If you’re waiting for Minato… I’m afraid he can’t help right now.” Renjiro said calmly: “The Nine-Tails isn’t the only threat tonight.”

Hiruzen’s expression darkened: “Renjiro! What do you mean? Are other villages attacking us too?!”

Renjiro shook his head and replied: “There’s no time to explain, Sandaime-sama. Right now, we need to focus on stopping the Nine-Tails.”

He turned his eyes toward the raging beast. Normal Jutsu wouldn’t be enough against something so huge and powerful. He had to go all out—right from the start.

“Minato… this is the only thing I can do for you.” Renjiro whispered to himself, his voice filled with quiet frustration.

In the original timeline, Minato and Kushina might have survived—if not for the Nine-Tails’ final, brutal rampage. That’s why Renjiro had made a plan: hold the Kyuubi back, weaken it, and buy enough time… until Minato arrived.

If he could pull this off, just maybe, Minato and Kushina might survive.

This wasn’t some wild dream. Even Deidara from the Akatsuki had managed to knock out a Tailed Beast—the Three-Tails.

Sure, he had a bit of help from Obito, but Obito hadn’t even taken the fight seriously. He’d joked around, dodged attacks, and played with the beast like it was all just a game. He never used real Jutsu or fought properly.

But now the real question was: could the same thing be done to the strongest Tailed Beast—the Nine-Tails?

In all of history (not counting the future), only two people had ever truly defeated the Nine-Tails: Hashirama Senju and Uchiha Madara.

Renjiro’s expression turned grim. He whispered to himself: “Let’s hope this new Jutsu is strong enough…”

His eyes briefly lit up with a strange glow. Even he wasn’t sure how powerful this technique really was.

Then he looked at Hiruzen and spoke in a firm voice: “Sandaime-sama… I can only keep this form going for three minutes. After that, it’s all up to you.”

Hiruzen froze as he watched Renjiro step forward. Panic rose in his voice as he shouted: “What do you think you’re doing?! I gave you a direct order! You’re supposed to evacuate with the other young shinobi and stay safe. This fight is too much for someone your age!”

Renjiro stopped. He turned slightly and gave Hiruzen a calm, gentle smile: “Sandaime-sama, we younger shinobi aren’t as weak as you think. I want to help ease the burden on your shoulders. And when the village is in danger, it’s my duty to stand and protect it. I’m sorry… but I can’t follow your order this time.”

Without waiting for a reply, he continued walking toward the Kyuubi.

Hiruzen stood frozen, stunned by the boy’s resolve. Then, with a tired, bitter smile, he muttered to himself: “If only I were still in my prime… I would never let the future of Konoha walk into danger while I stand here doing nothing.”

“Damn it!” He cursed, slamming his fist into the ground. All he could do now was watch, his heart was burning with anger, helplessness, and shame as Renjiro walked alone toward the monster.

---

At that moment, the Nine-Tails was seconds away from launching a Tailed Beast Bomb. Its eyes were wild with rage and hatred.

This attack could erase Konoha from the map, a brutal revenge for being imprisoned since the time of the First Hokage.

Shikaku led the Ino-Shika-Cho trio and other Konoha shinobi in a desperate effort to slow it down. But they weren’t strong enough. None of them were on the level of a Kage. They couldn’t even hurt the raging Kyuubi.

In the original timeline, Minato would’ve arrived at the last second and teleported the bomb away with the Flying Thunder God. But things had changed. Because of Renjiro’s interference earlier, Minato had discovered Obito’s secret Jutsu ahead of time.

Now, Minato was focusing on capturing the one truly responsible for the attack, Obito. He believed the village could hold out longer with Renjiro, Hiruzen, and the others defending it.

And Renjiro wasn’t about to let that trust go to waste. He was already on the battlefield, standing directly in front of the Nine-Tails.

“Renjiro?! What are you doing?!” Shikaku shouted in shock: “Get out of there! It’s too dangerous!”

But Renjiro didn’t flinch. Calmly, he took off his jacket, loosened his tie, and unbuttoned his shirt halfway. Then he turned to Shikaku and said with quiet determination: “Shikaku-san, get everyone clear. Once this starts… I won’t be able to hold back.”

“Wh… What?!”

Shikaku froze in shock as Renjiro stood firm, facing down the monstrous Nine-Tails without fear.

This technique, this Forbidden Jutsu, was something he had developed for moments like this. It was the result of deep research done alongside none other than Orochimaru.

“First—Body Stimulation Mode!”

Crackle!

A surge of lightning burst across Renjiro’s body, glowing in a pale, bluish-white light. His muscles tightened, his nerves fired up, and in seconds, his entire form looked like it had become one with lightning.

“Next… the most important step: Arkain, begin chakra synthesis!”

His glowing eyes narrowed with focus. Deep inside his body, Arkain’s biological processor kicked into action. The Natural Chakra Renjiro had carefully gathered and stored in the center of his forehead began to move—merging with his lightning-nature chakra.

This was the most dangerous part.

Lightning chakra was already unstable. And Senjutsu Chakra raw and untamed was like trying to hold a wild storm in your hands. Combining the two was like tossing a lit match into a tank of fuel.

One wrong move… and he would blow himself to pieces.

Thankfully, Arkain’s strength lay in its precise control at the cellular level. With its help, Renjiro managed to complete the fusion safely, a process even more dangerous than Naruto’s Sage Mode.

Crack!

The fusion was complete.

Renjiro’s bluish-white eyes now glowed with an eerie, otherworldly light. The Nine-Tails, highly sensitive to chakra, immediately turned to face him.

Their eyes locked. The beast radiated pure hatred, but Renjiro just smirked: “Kyuubi… ready or not, here it comes. I created this Jutsu just for you.”

He was nervous, but more than that, he was excited. This was his chance to unleash the power he had worked so hard to master.

Forbidden Technique: Thunder God Mode!

In that instant, everything went still.

BOOM! Crackle! CRRKKK!

A massive pillar of white-blue lightning erupted from Renjiro’s body, shooting high into the sky like a divine thunderbolt. The ground trembled.

BOOM!

A powerful shockwave exploded outward, shaking the battlefield with unstoppable force.

Not far away, Shikaku was nearly blown off his feet. He raised up his arms to shield himself, struggling to keep his balance against the roaring wind.

“What… what the hell is that?!” He shouted, squinting through the violent storm of energy.

He wasn’t the only one. Every Konoha shinobi had stopped in their tracks—even the Nine-Tails froze.

All eyes were now on Renjiro, standing at the center of a massive column of lightning. The energy pouring from him was overwhelming—so powerful it made it hard to breathe.

Even the Nine-Tails… felt a sense of danger from Renjiro.

Crack!

Finally, the pillar of lightning faded. The winds died down, and the air began to settle. Shikaku slowly opened his eyes—then froze in shock at what he saw.

“T-That’s… Renjiro?” he muttered, barely recognizing the figure standing in the aftermath.

At the center of the blast zone, a lone figure stood wreathed in pale blue-white flames. But this wasn’t ordinary fire, it was a storm made of pure chakra. Wild, crackling, and alive with the fury of lightning.

And at the heart of it… stood Renjiro.

CRRKK!

Arcs of lightning danced across his body, snapping and flashing. The air around him trembled from the pressure of his new form. Shikaku felt a shiver crawl down his spine.

“What… is this?!” He whispered, stunned.

The power rolling off Renjiro was unreal, so intense it felt nearly equal to the Nine-Tails itself.

And the Kyuubi felt it too. Just moments ago, it had been ready to fire a Tailed Beast Bomb at the village. But now… it hesitated. It sensed something even more threatening.

Its instincts screamed at it—this was the real threat now.

Without a second thought, the Kyuubi turned its head and aimed the massive bomb directly at Renjiro.

“Not a chance!”

CRRKK! Whoosh!

A confident smirk spread across Renjiro’s lightning-wreathed face—and in the blink of an eye, he vanished in a blinding flash of white-blue energy.

“Where did he—?”

BOOM!

The ground shook from a massive explosion. Dust and smoke shot into the air. When it finally cleared… everyone stood in stunned silence.

The Kyuubi—was slammed to the ground.

Its massive head was buried deep into the earth, and its giant body lay sprawled and motionless. And standing on top of it, still glowing with crackling lightning-chakra, was Renjiro.

“H-How…?” Someone gasped, unable to believe their eyes.

But no one had an answer. No one had even seen Renjiro move.

"ROAR!"

The Kyuubi roared in fury, its blood-red eyes locked onto the man standing on its head. Pure hatred burned in its gaze, warping the air and chakra flames around Renjiro with sheer malice.

“Roa—!”

BOOM!

Before the roar could even finish, the ground shook again.

With a single, brutal stomp, Renjiro drove his heel into the beast’s skull—slamming its head even deeper into the earth.

“Still thinking of fighting back?” He said coldly, a sneer on his face.

BOOM!

Another stomp. This time, the upper half of Kyuubi’s body was buried beneath the ground.

Fssss!

Steam and chakra hissed through the air.

All around them, the shinobi of Konoha stood frozen in shock.

The strongest creature in the world… was being crushed. And it wasn’t even close.
