Umm... guess I'm doing this for some reason. I had an urge to crash my computer so I decided to try animating 8 characters at once. Jokes aside, it's coming out decently well. I'm likely gonna have to keep this simple just due to the amount of stuff that can go wrong here and render times but so far it's looking good I think from what I've animated and tested.
If you think i used Marvel Rivals because I'm obsessed then your wrong (partially wrong). I needed a franchise with multiple models that were simple or ran easily and rivals kind of made the most sense. There were a few other choices such as Resident Evil which was my 2nd choice, then overwatch, WoW...
I wanted to just do this and have this out as my next animation but I may do a 1 day animation to provide you guys in the meantime. I got something in mind so I can relax and get this one done right, then I gotta add sound too which is gonna take a bit longer than usual on this one lol. Also I was thinking about adding 2 more people. What do ya think??
I'm considering another WIP where I provide a semi-completed version of atleast one of the pairings as a teaser for the full set

8 PEOPLE
So first things first, I gotta talk about my experience shoving 8 people into the same scene. Here's just sort of a checklist of stuff I either had to keep in mind when setting up the scene or stuff as I was doing during the animation...
-Make sure the models aren't too intensive. The less vertices the meshs have, the better my computer can perform
-Had to turn off sections of models when working with certain other ones and also decided to give them individual paired lighting
-Had to do test renders ahead of time to gauge their performance and make sure I wouldn't be making early mistakes. Did test renders of each individual character to judge their performance.
-Had to plan out in my head where the characters would be and what positions so I could get an idea of how they would all look in the same frame. I used some proxy meshes after posing them so I could see their positions while they were all turned on. If I turn them on all at once then Blender will lag.
Other
Everything is performance first in mind and it turned out decent, there will be slow if things are mismanaged, but that is a given with 8 models. You can get even get lag with 1-2 models if you don't pay attention to the right stuff. The background was just something simple as well that I didn't think was too weird.
